the reason I ask is that I rarely post on my phone and that appears to be where most people are having issues

I'm on a Samsung laptop. I have issues with the screen flickering when the Kayo and the Pointsbet ads appear on the screen. It happens every time I select a new thread or page

I think the issue on desktops is that the gutter ads (ie down the left and right sides) are a certain size - if your screen isn't wide enough, it forces the page to re-render to fit them in with the main content area of the forum smaller (width)
