Well if "the man " keeps fighting like he did on Wed night Green won't have to bother because it will be all over.
1 defence against some ex-Kamikazi world war 2 pilot who put him on his arse and a loss against who???? Manny who???? . Hardley ALI-ESQUE is it?

fenechs boxing acheivements dwarf both mundines put together

It doesnt mean he isnt a mug and his former boxing awards dont translate into any sort of credibility for Danny Green or Hussein Hussein or anyone else who he wants to crash Mundine's press conferences with.

What I really like is watching his fights in the pub, which are usually packed & listening to some guy(s) denigrate Mundine about being some kind of low life. Can't help but laugh at these poor creatures as they suck on there androtops & feed their numerous gambling & drug addictions & wonder what goes through their minds to think they can criticise a non-gambling-drinking-smoking family man, who is an excellent role model for all young Australian people.
But then again, you know how much smarter Mundine is than them, when you see how much money he has made by cashing in on their hate.

Why wouldn't aussies denigrate him. The Sh#t that spews from his mouth is a disgrace. His attitude is alien to our culture.
Remember some of his statements

He is the best 5/8 in the world - Laurie Daley is sh#t
The US deserved sept 11
The only reason he wasn't picked for Australia was because he is black.

There are more.

I agree that he can box but he is a long way down the list of great Australian boxers. Maybe he has been marketed well - most people want to see him get his block knocked off. I know I do -

he actually said he was the best because he outplayed laurie(who was the best) on every occasion they had played. They are actually freinds.

He actually said "they brought it on themselves" which the majority of Australians & Americans now agree with.

Him fighting for Aboriginal selections is fine with me even if it is a debatable topic.
Too many times Mundine, Peach & now Preston have missed out whilst being in great club form & most probably the most inform in their respective postions at that time.

Well try & quote them a little more accurately

well thats a start I guess, as no one 2 years ago gave him any credit for his boxing ability. Most think somehow he was magically given free passes to worldtitle fight bouts through nothing matchups.

Mundine had no f**king right to comment on Sept 11 . It just proved how stupid he is by being baited by a reporter into giving his opinion .....I couldn't give a f**k what he has to say about politics and religion.
He knows absolutely nothing about it , just because he carries around the Koran and says he's a Muslim doesn't make him an expert on jack shit. I'd bet he's never even read it.

Its impossible to to argue with people who are so blind by their hatred that they see evil in everthing he says.

The thing is, Fittler and Daley both like the guy and they have been the subject of many of his famous quotes. They know its tongue in cheek and they know it put bums on seats for their games.

The September 11 comments were certainly not incorrect but they were definitely insensitive in what was a horrible time for America. I once heard it compared to telling someone whos husband died of lung cancer that he bought upon himself for smoking....

The question should not have been asked and it was used as publicity for the Today Show, they knew what they were doing and they used him poorly, a move which could have cost him his career. Ive not watched the show since. Anthony is a sportsman and was there to promote a boxing match, what his thoughts are on sensitive political issues should be of very very little consequence.

Bottom line is people hate him passionately and for what? A few comments? I can totally understand people not liking him, but to cheer when he bleeds is something that disturbs me greatly, especially at a guy who is probably the best aboriginal role model this country has seen.

Do you want all sportsman to be media drones and spew the same tired cliches every interview? Mundine is and has always been colourful and the game of league is lesser for losing him.

Well there are a hell of a lot of people out there with my culture.... mmm and they're Australian

Which majority would that be? The Muslim section of our society?

Although the exact wording may not be precise the intent was correct.

There are many many boxers out there who can box. Mundine has all the right speed and technique and a very pretty style. However many of us question his ability when he gets in with a really tough opponent. Ali proved he could mix it when required, Mundine hasn't.

totally agree Ribs.
But, Mundine has also fuelled things along, & whether it was intentional or not, it proved agreat money spinner for him.
I have heard that he was advised to get new management & PR to try & change the publics perception of him, but in the end he decided against it knowing full well that the lower end of the scale in Aussie society, was where the money was, so he gave them everything they wanted to hear. More money through being passionately hated than passionately loved.

I don't know anyone that thinks "America brought it on themselves". A terrorist attack is never deserved. If you want to fight America, fight their military not their defenceless civilians you gutless <unts!

Then you don't mix in broad circles & you have a pre-conceived opinion on what Australians think.
The anti-american trend has continued to grow each month since the re-design of New york
