Yes as a 1 off, to draw a line under the pre-WW2 issue. Will now be 2 inductees every 4 years.

Credit to the NRL.

Would of been a great shame if legends of the inaugural years were left out.

So all the judges bypassed the 3 pre-war nominees & only the NRL stepped in to include them. Joke!

Wow premierships is what count when assessing a players skill.

Provan was an honest workman like forward, who led a team of great players.

Nathan was an honest workman like forward, who played for Parramatta.

Similar games played, similar rep records, never the match winner always the worker to provide space to better players.

I have no comment other than disagree 100% . This speaks for itself.

Although I can't remember much of Norm Provan playing for the Stains during their record run, you can't argue with his record and that alone entitles his inclusion as an immortal. On a NSWRL involvement for Norm To lead, and to Captain Coach that side speaks for itself plus Aussie duties too.

BUTTTTTT.... Norm and the rest of our forwards from that era were deers in the headlights when it came to playing The Poms. The Pom forwards of that time 'played' and 'bashed' the Roos nearly everygame.
It was the Biff Era and us aussies were no match. Big mobile and vicious take no prisoner Pom forwards often toyed with the likes of Sticks, Mossip and co. They played a different style to the aussies back then.

Although I find the concept of an Immortals category above HOF disagreeable, I agree that the decision made was a step in the right direction.

Should be closer to 1 added every 8 - 10 years.
Agree with this. Id probably say 2 every 10 years, but to keep it fresh in people's minds, I'd do 1 every 5 years. I reckon the only reason they've done 2 every 4 is so that they've got enough spaces to get JT, Smith, Slater and probably Inglis (who I violently disagree with) in.
2 every 4 years will soon see the numbers pile up and it them dilutes the standard of Immortals and also reduces the prestige of the HOF.
A bit like AFL, Immortals should only ever be a maximum of 10% of the HOF, and I'd even argue that's too many - would be more comfortable with 5%, and only move away from that in extreme circumstances, but then get back to the 5% over following years.

This is ridiculous. The muppets are going to completely dilute this.

So we have 13 now? That’s effectively 1 every 8 1/ 2 years.

I think that’s a fair figure for a legend player that is a class above great to come along.

1 every 8 years from herein they should do.

In the couldnt give a rat's basket.

Immortal ha.

Wally Lewis was a big fish in the Qld pond. Big offers from the roosters but smart enough to know he wouldn't rate a mention in the media.

Played for the broncs to lose his spot to Kevin walters.

A player who never ever dominated the national comp an immortal.

Oh yeah that's right SOO....l think he got man of the match every 2nd game from the same nerks who gave the man of the series to Slater.
Guys like sludge and ET who dominated for over a decade never rate a mention compared to this guy.

And now Meninga??

f**k off.

Love ET but he is not close to Immortal status. Anyone who says he is has their BW&B glasses on.

Finger deserves it, no issues there.

Wally also.
