Love your choice of words Swifty
I'm not the one that lacked civility to begin with, I'm not gonna be a suck up like some other people and just open up the OP's asshole and rim them to get into the clique.
I am not and will never be a sycophantic parasite and will call people out when they are merkins.
METSM was for everyone else, not for me. I, unlike many other whinging supporters on this forum who have given up on us this year, am traveling back to Sydney after being there earlier this weekend for a concert to support our team tonight.
The good thing about the other site is they are still optimistic about us making the eight. They are good fans.
At least I can sleep at night, unlike Suity.

This is where you're just plain wrong.
There is no 'consensus opinion' in this place. This is the kind of victimhood bullshit people throw out when they're called on their negativity.
I think if you sit back and try to be objective you'll see that every opinion is unpopular with one group or another around here. I don't know how you can say one opinion is unpopular and another one is popular. An example is Sefton Boy - all he does is rag on Luke Burt, which is why he cops so much grief. It's like he doesn't have anything else to say.
For the record I mostly agree with him on Burt but I try not to be an anti-Burt one trick pony so I'm not vilified for my (mostly) negative view of Luke Burt.
It's not the opinion that gets people dogpiled; it's the constant and negative way they're put across.
I couldn't care less about the grief I cop. However, the reason i go on about Burt because I think it's a great injustice that this guy is still playing NRL when we have let go of younger players. Maybe we could of kept big Tony Williams for example if they offloaded Burt earlier.
I just find it very frustrating.
The Parramatta club is seriously got to re-think how it does things with recruitment & retention because 25 years without a premiership with one of the best junior leagues in unacceptable.
We are in serious danger of getting the wooden spoon & all the OLD dead wood should be moved on. The only that should be staying is the heart of the side - Hindmarsh.
I don't hate anybody even Luke Burt. Great guy I here & has given great service to Parra however.........
I have many opinions on Parramatta but his exclusion is the top of my list. Really haven't got time for other topics.
the eels, from the leadership to the fans, have lacked discipline ever since john morris left the club. look around. no one is putting his hand up, holding himself accountable, dropping to the dirt and busting out 50 perfect form push-ups because they know that close enough isn't good enough. and it's not. this is where we've gone wrong. where's the effort? who's still rocking mad hair? where's our lethal red-zone kicking game? forget about it. f**k it. it doesn't exist
we're all as guilty as each other, although suity and twizzle are substantially worse. but there's no use pointing the finger of blame at these two - they are going to be around here forever, whether we hate it or despise it. and there's plenty more dickheads just like them. we can't do anything about that. let's just focus on what we can change
i want to see our club give a shit about everything again, enforcing every player to wear white boots (always clean) and assuring they only use the most expensive hair-care products each and every time they plan to step out onto the field. our club must look to the heroes of yesteryear for inspiration. i want to hear our new players saying "jason moodie would've scored from that position" and "daniel wagon would've tackled that bitch." we have to forget about mediocrity. like john morris, we have to be excellent. no excuses. just be excellent. f**k man
