I really struggle to get why some Democrats dislike Harris. I mean compared to the two old men she is relatively competent, articulate, much smarter than the old men and young enough for the job.
Apart from being black and female I do not see any strong evidence that she is not an easy choice for people over the odious psychopath on the opposite side.
Also I do not buy into her polling numbers as they stand representing where they could sit with the might of a presidential campaign drive behind her. In the last few hours I have noticed she has changed the register of her at times whinny voice (yes her voice is annoying). She has also given careful and deliberate speeches around earning the nomination.
If Donald Trump who everybody thought was a joke could come in as a rank outsider then enjoy the hype of being something different, Harris can certainly do the same, bring new energy, reinvent herself, persuade her detractors in her own base.
Put it this way, MAGA are afraid of her, they are trying to challenge her right to stand. Which pretty much exposes the lie that they wanted Harris over Biden. What MAGA realise is that Women are not a minority voting block in the US, they are the majority, and the MAGA hand maidens tale plan for women is a real threat to all female Americans.
Harris can ride off that, a women needs to litigate that issue, and Harris is both, a woman and a litigator.
It looks like Harris needs to pick a token white male Vice Pres if she gets the nomination (an interesting juxtaposition of Harris the token black woman last round).
