Saying the prisons are full and letting rapists and peados out who done 40% of sentence and then sending people to prison for faacebook comments or protesting and not just the thugs who did riot.
That’s the responsibility of the judiciary - under the Westminster system they’re separate from the executive/legislative branch of government that we actually vote in.

But yeah- I think people are generally sick of the left
I mean NZ is at that point in the cycle generally - labour got a couple of terms, people got sick of them and put the Nats in, they usually last 2 or 3 terms and it’ll go back to labour when people get sick of the right or they take things too far. Australia is kinda on the opposite, people got sick of the right under Morrison because they were incompetent lying pricks.
The US is weird because both parties are pretty much economically right wing, the only difference is the window dressing on social issues.

Sad state of affairs when the (supposedly) United States of America is presided over by a lying, cheating, boor who soils himself in public and cheats at golf.

To be fair, much of that that description would apply to most politicians.... although Trump takes it to extreme levels... did Clinton cheat at golf?

Don't know. But he didn't claim to be club Champion when he wasn't even there on the day.

They are in the universities and the advertisement industry and Hollywood
This is one of the biggest myths floating around, the university system in the US is not radical left, it's not even centre left dominated (especially not in a rest of the western world spectrum).

I've always wondered how much of this 'oh no Trump is in' is actually based on rationality about what impact he will have on the free world, or whether it's just regarding what a deplorable person he is, and the sickness associated with someone like that being voted in.

Because from his time in office, was it markedly any different from any other Republican president? Honest question, I don't follow politics closely in any country. My political view is that 99% of what gets blown and blustered in the media, online etc is actually just hype that is completely disassociated from the actual impact these leaders and parties actually have.

My hero’s Gadd Sadd and JP say otherwise.

Yeah, I may be a cynic, but I don't think people's worst fears will materialise. I think Trump is bad for the character and reputation of America, but he's hardly better or worse in actuality than any of the others.

What’s your beef with JP?
I said, he's a piece of tutae grifter. Plus, he's an idiot obsessed with his culture wars. Are you going to confirm who the other person is so I know whether they're an idiot and/or grifter too?

There's a train of thought that the usual political establishment mostly kept him in check last time (a large number of his staff are anti Trumpers now after 2020 Insurrection) and this time round there's no one to keep him in check.

If large parts of Project 2025 are actually implemented then the country will be a shit show, well even more than a shit show. I have no idea if they will try to implement it.

Imagine Trump dropping dead in the next four year and J.D Vance becomes president. That would be a lol moment.

FIrstly, wth is tutae?

You won't like Gad Saad either. He is a university educated fella with a podcast. Gained some fame from being on the JR Experience a number of times. He is a jew. According to wiki he has "argued for applying evolutionary psychology to marketing and consumer behavior".
Good fella. You will not like him due to your participation in the culture war.

Vance actually improved as the campaign went on. Did well in the debate and from there, with moments of exception
