I gave up tipping comps decades ago.
They come around every year but its just a no thanks.

The last one I was in a woman at work who wouldn't know a football from a watermelon won two years in a row. While I'm carefully analysing team line ups, home grounds, last rounds she's looking at the two jumpers and choosing the one she likes best. I asked her and she told me.
Hilarious. But works. Apparently.

Plus there were years there where I was disadvantaged taking the sharks each week. Would never tip against them.
I would now though.

Another year I led the whole way. From round 1.
The same guy up my arse the whole way. The pressure each week while I'm doing my tips was ridiculous. You'd think first prize was a house and car but its more Im not letting this guy jump me. It became a personal battle.
Yep...
Final round he went from 1 behind to 1 in front.
I was done.

I bet on every game though.
I have a little system which works quite nicely.
