Absolutely, but the it wouldn’t matter to some what Brent Naden does, he is tarnished forever. Shame really, decent kid and fair footy player.

I’m all for forgiveness, we all make mistakes, do things in life we are not proud off, Brent was guilty of such a mistake. I hope he enjoys a terrific career with the Bulldogs.
To be honest, I think he transgressed more than what was revealed.

I assume your just assuming that Jac was going to run over the top of tesi nui?

Naden obviously didnt see reynolds as he tackled him from behind.

I think he thought he was threw and was going to draw and pass to JAC with the fb nui there.

Naden knows hes way to the try line and he always had a habit of scoring good trys for us. Its definitley one of his strong suits and he has a really good strike rate.

Blaming him when it wasnt even a certain try by any stretch yet over looking all the good things he did kinda speaks volumes.

I always hated him at centre and loved him on the wing. Make of that what you will.

The chosen one would have got the job done. Charlie Staines would have iced it.

Bagging players is only bad if it's one's you like right.

I watched all of yesterdays game. Think your being a bit harsh on naden. He was one of their best i thought. Really really strong with the ball in hand. 20 runs, 170m, 5 tackle busts. Missed 1 tackle but didnt have to make many. Dufty, burton pangai and that little 14 were stromg also. Corey waddell was good too.

Burtons long kicking game caused them trouble but i dont think he was as good as you said.. the fact is they had a shitload of possession and they didnt score many..

He had a few nice touches, and i think hes going to be a good player, but your constant putting down of luai gets real tiring..

I remember luai doing things in his first year that burtons never done at half... was it the warriors game that possibly maloney amd cleary were out and luai played 7 and absolutley destroyed the warriors? Think he got a hatrick, just carved them up.. had a few games like that too when he was a rookie.

Luai had a poor back half of the year after he was injured in origin. But for 18months before that he was on absolute fire.

Burton has a long long way to go to reach the levels luai has.

Can he get there? Im not sure he will at the dogs. Not without a genuine 7.. but ill be interested to see if you use that as an excuse for him when clearly it hasnt stopped you from ripping into luai when naths been injured..
Well said Girds!!

Yeah which is why I like him on the wing. You get all his athletic upside which is pretty damn good with none of the downside.

Dragons game he was good. I would of brought him in over moving Crichton to the wing

That said. He has 71% tackle effe

I was at a music Festival so missed their Round 1 but last night and All Stars had a couple of dumb plays

The plays we don't do now. They went with DWZ and Blake

No. It’s about being impartial and objective not predisposed to putting forward opinions based on a sub conscious bias.

Brent Naden f**ked up and sadly he is no longer at our club. He has to live with that, no one else to blame but himself for a poor life choice.

As I have alluded to previously, I am more than happy for Charlie Staines to get an extended run in our top 17. but at some point this season he has to demonstrate he is NRL quality and on that note the jury is still deliberating. Personally I think he has been decent in both games this season , you can see the effort but he has been given nothing to work with from an attacking perspective. It would be nice to see him in open space for once to see if he actually has the high end speed we have heard so much about.

For those in footy tipping comps this round looks tough to pick. You could nearly make a case for each side in all eight games.

He transgressed I guess the first time the club sacked him, which if you believe the club spin was a relatively minor discipline issue. Gould ultimately was the one who sacked him but to his credit or otherwise Gus was the one who brought him back to the club where he subsequently debuted in the NRL and enjoyed reasonable success before his massive f**k up Around cocaine use. You will never know whether there was more to it I guess, I think not but at the end of the day it was Brent who did the wrong thing. He has a new start at the Bulldogs, hope he makes every post a winner.

I agree; best of luck to the kid.

I find that most weeks, probably explains why I never win a tipping comp.

In most comps usually the person with least knowledge of football wins

I think often people ( myself included) over think things and talk themselves against stats or logic because x team is due, or x team has a heap out without looking at the actual 17

I won my employer's 2020 tipping comp by picking Penrith every week.

In 2010 I would have won but somehow missed a round of tipping.

I'd be leading my tipping comp but somehow didn't put in my tips for round 2. The good olde mis-click.

A lot of good match ups in this round:

Dragons
Tigers (The definition of a coin flip)
Roosters
Panthers
Eels
Titans
Broncos
Sea Eagles

Yes...

Its been the death of me in every comp I've been in. Haven't done it for years but went in one this year for a change. Already screwed myself over 2 rounds in.

I have Warriors
Eels never win down there and I heard that Brandon Smith will play

The rest we have the same

Nathan Brown is a smokey for first coach sacked in 2022. Not a fan of what he is doing with the Warriors at all.

The Eels haven't been very good in the first two rounds of the competition. But they did get Melbourne twice last year. I think this will be the game where we see their forward pack stand up. They have a point to prove.
