But alas, I pick them this week and they don’t show up and get flogged

Yep. Throw in the Raper and Provan tribute game and they were always going to lift.

Shows if they cut out the dumb errors they could be a decent team

Well I was completely wrong about the Dragons. Granted they just had the Burgess thing but its no surprise another Anthony Griffin team has issues with attitude.

The way they were acting at 10-0 made it look like 40-0. Not a lot of fight in that team.

They are mentally very soft. Just like we were under Matt Elliott. We were ill disciplined, prone to dropping our bundle when decisions went against us and were flat track bullies. We couldn't beat the good teams.

That's the Dragons right now. The culture in the place must be rotten to the core because they have been like this for at least the last five years. Whether you like Hook or not, he can't turn this around in one season, he will need a few years to stamp out the mediocrity that seeps through every pore of the club. I suspect he will be run out of town before he can make a meaningful impact.

There is zero structure to their attack, points only look like coming from low percentage plays and individual brilliance.

Lomax has tried the flick every opportunity this season and can barely connect.

I thought last week the dragons got away with a fair bit, despite the sin bins. Penrith had little ball in the 2nd half. With an even share of possession Penrith do similar to Cronulla tonight, also Penrith dropped off a little too in defence when Fish and To'o went off.

Hook made a serious error in my view by publicly complaining about decisions against his team, in particular the sin binning of Sua, thereby giving them an excuse. Poor coaching right there.

I totally agree. I've re watched the Penrith V Dragons game. So much rubbish by dragons in the ruck, no 10 meters, constant niggle. You have in the end actually have to play footy rather than just bash.
