It’s a myth about the money in the ESL. It really is. NRL players either go there at the back end of there career or players who can’t get a starting position here. There may be one or two elite players who earn good money in the ESL but for the most part they are earning far less than they would earn here if they were good enough. I’ve no idea about union but again there aren’t many quality players plying there trade in Union who could still cut in the NRL.

Take out the NRL player development though and all that changes

A lot of people have been banging on about the Roosters. They are not guaranteed a top 8 spot yet and wont finish in the top 4. In the last 11 games against us and the Storm they are 0-11. They could still do it but stats say they can't.

The Broncos spine is puss, unable to maintain pressure and have strapped on Moses' skis for him.

Hoskings looks pretty skinny in the upper body for a modern second rower.

Have to assume a full off-season will bulk him up a bit.

He's already in his mid 20s though. Not saying he can't play a role for us but I'm not sure he's a starter

Same as every year... I look forward to buying GF tickets off Parra fans, on the cheap when they bomb out again

That's silly.
Go to the season start.
Penrith favourites
Roosters next
Storm
Souths
Manly

And at 6th Parra. Maybe your flag wavers get hopes up but people who have a basic understanding of footy don't expect Parra to win the Comp. There a rough chance however and they are a side you guys probably prefer to avoid.

On Parra they are got and cold but they do have
The form 2nd rower of the comp in Shaun Lane.
A powerfull back row with Papali'i and Matterson and Marata. Two good props in Jnr and RCG.
Sivo is playing great, Guthersons forms improved and D.Brown and Moses are dangerous.
There is weaknesses on the bench and Mahoney doesn't offer much in attack but they are still a dark horse.

I have to admit that Shaun Lane is one hombre I wouldn’t mind seeing in Penrith colours

At the start of the season I had Parramatta above Souths (due to Reynolds and Bennett's departure)
I think they are around that 4th or 5th mark now.
I could make excuses for our two losses to Parramatta earlier, but that would be foolish. They were all over us before the send off.

I still believe our ceiling is higher than other clubs. The trick is to do it 3 times in the final series. And keep injuries at bay.
The finals are a different game. Pressure changes things. Some guys do weird things under it. Others go missing.

The Storm and the Roosters are massive threats. And despite Parramatta's inconsistencies they are a dangerous dark horse. Sharks too.

Just remember, The NRL does a buy back for your unwanted Grand Final tickets.

You guys do this to yourself every year and the result is always the same, And it is glorious
