I think there needs to some serious discussion around application of the salary cap.

Granted some clubs are managing it better than others, but the gap this season between the top eight sides and bottom eight sides seems to have widened which is disappointing.

It just isn’t a level playing field, even allowing for the fact the bigger clubs are more able to attract players Which will always be the case.

We don’t know who paying what. You may be right I have no idea.

All I know is there is a requirement for every club to spend what 90% of there cap each season. So something is seriously wrong somewhere. If the bottom side side is spending basically the same amount as the top side, third parties excluded perhaps, then something is seriously wrong with the system. The system is broken And perhaps isn’t going to change until we have a player draft However unpopular that may be to some.

Apparently the Top 100 players was spot on. Was not good reading for the lower ended clubs

Good luck restricting wages on a grade system.

Salary caps are already legally dubious.

Setting maximums based on grades would get laughed out of court.
