Mahoneys form last season he was looking like he was putting it all together and one of the best young hookers in game.
This season he has gone back to previous years form. Missing a lot of tackles, no run game and not setting up tries or line breaks.
Without sounding bitter I question his ability. No doubt he is a good player but 700k good? A lot of money for a guy with no run game.
How much better is he then Bailey or Egan? He plays behind a very good forward pack.


Kikau is a weapon when on but his defense is average. Unsure how Kikau goes at the Dogs. Seems the type who may get lazy

I think Bailey (the Sharks one) is a weapon and his brother could be very good too if he could stay on the field.

Burton has zero control. Flashes of brilliance is all I see. I'm sure he will improve. How much does Mahoney who so far this seasons been garbage and Kikau change them?

I think Burto looked good last game when he went to the centres. Had more time and space.

I know he wants to play 5/8th but maybe that should be a slightly medium term plan after the Dogs have fixed some of their other issues.

Having said that he threw a couple of nice passes last night (JACs second try was a beauty) and swung from side to side a few times; so to my eye there was some improvement.

Blake,Sivo,Dunster,Russsel,Opacic are all injured and I guess back up to that is Marata who is injured also. So nobody left.
I watched Hands today and he is talented and would be better then Jake

Watching the Roosters game here, Verrills is miles ahead of what we have here. Its a real shame to read we are sticking with Luke and Kenny next year. What's the point of having $500,000 unused salary cap. Next year will for sure be a down year with current side and no games being played in Penrith.
