Irregardless of whether it's a softer competition this year (for the record I don't agree with this proposition), teams moving from last to fourth doesn't happen very often making it quite praiseworthy. But context is everything and when you consider that a four-time premiership winning 5/8 and a golden boot winning prop were released in the prior season, the feat is all the more remarkable.

When you couple this with the fact that during our five years of grand finals we have managed to be the only team in NRL history to win the premiership in all three grades and then add to that the fact we have undertaken the largest comeback in Grand Final history, we are undoubtedly in rarified air.

The greatest team ever? Maybe, maybe not, but they are not just another premiership winning team. They are now sitting at a table reserved for only the most elite teams, for the best of the best. This latest chapter is just another side note to a legend being created before our very eyes. How lucky and privileged we are to be on the sidelines watching this happen.

If we do it yes. Only two sides can win this comp and we are one of them.

The point is we have had a super soft run (and did very well not to slip up) but the standard of footy this year is way down overall. If we win it, it will be the weakest of the five comps that's for sure.
You can only beat what’s in front of you. And no one will be talking soft draw IF we win 5 in a row.

If one of the “glamour” clubs were in our position right now all the "experts" in the media would be falling over each other talking this achievement up.

Titans v bunnies
Boy how bad must we have been that second half .The titans gave it to us and are now getting matched by a bunnies team that has 15 regular first graders on the sideline

With the irony that few ever question Johns’ two premierships….

No one ever brings up (besides me) Johns literally throwing away a grand final appearance in 2000.

Had the game essentially won and botched it.

Would have made for a better game in the GF too.

Just watched the highlights of that game. That was a great Knights side; stacked.

I always forget how bad a goal kicker Johns was also. Awful.

I dunno man Ricky Stuart has his team in first..........he's a terrible coach.

Yeah but i mean if we were to win it again would that make it any less enjoyable? Only fans who havent tasted that for a while care about if a team wins a soft premiership or not.

I'll be pissing myself with joy if for nothing else than being able to post images of gears whenever @Valheru posts anything.

I must be the only one here who think this Raiders side is dangerous. Very quick, strong outside backs. Some of the best forwards in the game. Balanced halves pairing and an electric fullback. Have looked defensively vulnerable on the edges at times but you could say the same about us. I don't care about Rickys coaching credentials, that side is playing well.

I think we have them covered at our best but we wouldn't need to be that far off for it to fall apart. I have them as a bigger threat than the Dogs and a Hughesless Storm.

It's the extra bullshit us and Melbourne will get away with in finals

I agree with you 100%.

The thought of potentially have to play them in Canberra in the 1 v 4 first final is not very appealing.
