Hey @Vic Mackey, what's the Rest of NRL thread? Is that thread about general news for other clubs and this one about other specific games that are playing/ed?
I'll throw this in here, be gentle if I'm wrong
My question is, if we had the Broncos roster, the exact same players instead of ours, would we have made the grand final?
Would we win more games this year than with our present squad?
I guess the answer is yes but would you bet on it?
I was thinking about this last night and it occurred to me that the 3 spoongate years we simply forgot how to win. The winning culture was gonesky. ( little as it was).
Under Benji thus far, I think we have that feeling back again. Self belief that hard work is needed and we trust the processes.

Is it just me or has there not been any real high quality games this year? Theres been some close ones, exciting ones but overall I feel the product has been fairly poor. I thought last nights game was absolute trash. Hopefully a good thing for us lol

Probably Vic because players are gun shy of the no contact to the head crackdown.
Remember Lang charging into the D with every hitup. What about spud v Harrigan.
I think we've lost a bit of the brutality that seperated us from the other codes.
Now we are involved in the Meelee mock fights. It amuses me to see a whippet push the big boppas around knowing they won't get hurt

Our divorce with Ivan was messy but since Garner went to Penrith, Daine Laurie returned home whilst on the other hand, Luai came to us, followed by Taruva and rumours of To'o wanting to join his mates here. Probably others too.... can't think, damn it.
But I'm wondering if Richo joining us is the connection and not just the brotherhood, because he did wonders with them years ago and might have some old mates still there.
Does anyone know the history of them then and now?

The old boy commentators are sticking up for their mates but Geeze Cleary Yeo and Edwards have not led by example this year. All 3 were shit tonight.
Their young blokes are about the level of ours.
We are playing better with less leaders.

Another thing that has thrown a spanner in the Panther's formerly silky cogs...the crackdown on tunnelball and the unstoppable momentum they perfected using that sleight of foot...it's a massive change in how they " can't " play now.
