Who will be the next knights player to put on the sky blue?

I think Mason might get a look in this year. Maybe even Mullen fir Burher.

Can't see any of our guys getting a gig. Houston might be an ouside chance if 2 or 3 backrowers go down.

I don't think Mullen has a chance unless one of the halves goes belly-up.
Mason - maybe. He'd sure have an impact even if only for 10 mins. Not sure we can affrd a bench player who can;t play near a full stint if needed.
If Farah had messed up Bedsy might be a go but not now.

Carney was horrible but he will keep his place over Mullen.

Glen Stewart was nearly as bad but he won't be dropped and House would not bring anything to origin imo, he wouldn't be next in line.

Mason won't be fit enough in time to be considered.

Bedsy would be worth the bench spot instead of Burher. I would look at that if i was Ricky

There won't be one unless Farah gets injured. Even then Bedsy would be long odds unless the series is lost in Syd and he gets a farewell game in Brisbane.

You blokes are being soft on Aku. I believe you could forgive him for one of those tries but not two. He still looks suspect under the high ball - definitely not rock solid there either.

It would be nice if when defending as he did last night if he would actually take a man or the ball. Got neither.

Besides that he returned the ball well. Shame he can't get out of dummy half like Brent Tate did last night. He was unbelievable.

Great to see Darius score a couple though. Can't really have a bad night playing outside the backline QLD have. Hope it turns into something better for us over the remainder of the year.

40 minutes to save his jumper. You can't keep carrying the bloke with errors like that.

Yep, he's not delivering and the non attempt at a bomb was unforgivable.

The bloke has an awful lot of work to do to redeem himself otherwise I suspect it will be dead air for the DJ.

He really has regressed this year in all facets of the game.

So when I said before game 1 that on form he doesn't deserve selection and I got howled down...

Aku was probably the worst player on the field tonight. The lack of commitment to that bomb was unforgivable.

I should rename the thread:

Our Origin Star: Boyd
Queensland Spy: Uate

Probably the worst performance I've seen from a player in the sky blue and that's saying alot...

I don't know what to think about Uate any more.

It's so frustrating he is starved of possession but I don't think it frustrates me as much as his defence. He needs to work on his ball-catching skills badly, it has always been a weakness of his.

Uate realistically shouldn't be playing game III, he was horrible and a liability tonight.

He is a confidence player and his confidence is shot.

His tries seem to come in bunches and otherwise he'll go on dry spells.

The problem is when he isn't hot in attack, he doesn't back himself in defence/under the high ball as much and he becomes a liability apart from his charges out of our own territory. I don't mean to bag him as much as it sounds like I am, but I think he is getting a bit of a reality check at the moment.

He's lucky Michael Gordon isn't fit.

So the question is.... if you were Sticky, would you stick for Game 3?

I'm sure he will, but in the back of his mind he'd be concerned. Very concerned.

He'll be praying Newy have a big win over Parra next week.

Meh, he had one fk up and unfortunately those are the ones everyone remembers because it resulted in a try.

Stewart and Hayne had major fk-ups that very nearly resulted in tries. Billy Slater was worse than Uate tonight.

He'll be there. I think it's about time NSW selectors learnt from their mistakes. Form is temporary but class is permenant. We all know when Uate's on, he'll catch them day in day out. He'll be back for sure, don't worry guys.

I'm very surprised that they didn't target him more in the 2nd half. They put the high ball up to Hayne's wing when they should have been kicking to the other corner.

I said 2 tackles before the try if we (I support Qld) bomb Uate we will score. You could set your watch to it.

I think putting the Morris boys on the right would be a stroke of genius by Stuart. Aku has been ordinary and the bounce which led to the Hannant try was unacceptable at origin level. Aku is living off hype right now. Brett Morris has been outstanding this year.
