Any CEO who:
  • has no vision;
  • is unable to lead;
  • tows the board line;
  • is unable to effect change;
  • cannot take the club in a new direction;
  • is unresponsive to fans;
  • declares Mary to be the right man for the right time,
is not fit for the role and should resign.

The worldwide search to fill this position was clearly a sham. Just like every other appointment and end of year review.

Oust Johnston!

It's about time people realised that this will never end, Gordon is staying and so is every other board member as well, the club WILL never aspire to the glory days they will be happy to watch the old footage, 1 grand final win since 1979, who knows when we will win the next one, one thing i know 100% is, as long as McGregor is in charge we wont be winning the premiership.
Why did Gordon buy the Steelers share??

Make no mistake, Bruce Gordon (with his son, Andrew) is the problem, not Johnston.

He was left a poisoned chalice by Doust. The situation isn’t unlike a coach coming into to mentor a team that glaring shortcomings. As usual, success is predicated by the “cattle” at your disposal. Selling 50 percent of the Dragons to a Wollongong based organisation was always going to be problematic.

Johnston could have done a lot more to make the JDB situation a lot smoother.
Johnston could have gotten rid of Mary rather than extend his contract.
Johnston could have studied the TPA schemes that other clubs have put in place and ensured we had something similar.
Johnston could have replaced Millward with a better more professional recruitment manager.

Johnston although not applying, also appears to have taken on the job under the conditions that he’d be a yes man for the board and WIN Corporation.
Plenty of people say he’s a decent person and I’ve got no reason to doubt that but if he’s taken the job under these conditions then he’s taken the job under false pretences and is not imo the right man for the job.

It's not like the members and fans had any say in the matter.
This was just a manipulation facilitated by the NRL.
