Why?
You’re unaware that the Gordon family has links with the debt riddled Illawarra Steelers’ Club?
You really are a troglodyte.
Why?
Johnston could have done a lot more to make the JDB situation a lot smoother.
Johnston could have gotten rid of Mary rather than extend his contract.
Johnston could have studied the TPA schemes that other clubs have put in place and ensured we had something similar.
Johnston could have replaced Millward with a better more professional recruitment manager.
The problem is not him .. It is the Gordon's and the tendrils they have choking the joint. BJ and Mary are the result of the Gordon decision.
Sadly this is correct. Johnston did not even apply for the job, he didn't want it. WIN put him there, he's merely a puppet. We can cut off our Johnston, but we'll still have a giant dick on our head.
No, no..You’re unaware that the Gordon family has links with the debt riddled Illawarra Steelers’ Club?
You really are a troglodyte.
I would also like to see this.
ST George Illawarra WIN-less Dragons
No, no..
Elaborate on your claim rather than calling names..
Cool, thanks for that..Yes, yes...
Do you mean unlike yourself, Pigeon?

Actually, I thought the Steelers’ debt was only around $6 million.
Sure. Check out the below:
Cool, thanks for that..
In other breaking news, Michael Jackson has passed away..
But what in the name of Peter Doust’s goat does that information from 2003 in that link have to do with who the location of who 50% share in the JV was sold to in 2018?
Nor does it state anything about your alleged Gordon/Steelers club link..?
Come on man.. Give us all something relevant..
That’s still just tinfoil hat territory unfortunately..Oh, “relevant”....got it.
How about this?
1. both Gordon’s (Andrew and Bruce) have been passionate advocates towards the Illawarra (region) and Steelers for years.
2. Bruce’s company (WIN TV) used to be a sponsor of the Illawarra Steelers when it was a stand-alone club during its participation in the NSWRFL and ARL (1982-1999).
Do you still fail to see the obvious correlation or is that also irrelevant?
Thanks for this.Sure. Check out the below:

St George Illawarra spent tens of thousands of dollars commissioning an independent recruiting firm to scan almost 100 applicants for its chief executive role before appointing chairman Brian Johnston, who wasn’t an original candidate.
The Dragons have defended the integrity of their recruiting process for one of the most coveted jobs in the NRL, having parachuted long-time administrator Johnston into the role after finalising a deal with WIN Corporation to take a 50 per cent stake in the club.
Fairfax Media understands the Dragons received submissions from 98 administrators across a number of sports both domestically and internationally when they hired respected recruitment agency Sportspeople back in April.
It’s believed Johnston, who headed a sub-committee charged with finding Doust’s replacement, did not originally express a formal interest about transitioning from the chairmanship.
But when WIN, which had told the Dragons they no longer had an interest in purchasing the Illawarra Steelers’ stake in the joint venture back in April, quietly came back to the negotiating table, its representatives expressed a desire for Johnston to take on the role.
He agreed to take on the job and Sportspeople abandoned its months-long screening process, which the Dragons had paid for and had produced a shortlist of remaining candidates. Those applicants were told upcoming interviews had been cancelled after WIN had finalised an agreement for partial privatisation of the club
