Any ideas why the Tongan team would like? Can’t help but think they might really struggle.

As an aside, RTS to Samoa is a big one.
Who's going to replace Manu. I feel like Rts would've been the Kiwis fullback if he played for them this year

Damn the Samoan side is really gearing up for something special. RTS now on top of the best of the Penrith outside backs from the last three years, the emergence of Luai as a genuine halfback and the usual big, athletic forward pack. If Tino and Haas come over for the world cup they are basically favourites.

1. RTS
2. To'o
3. Chrichton
4. Talagi
5. Taulagi
6. Asi
7. Luia
8. Utoikamanu
9. CTH
10. Haas
11. Leniu
12. Nanai
13. Tino

Oloapu, May, Hunt, Fa'alogo

Jayd'n Sua at second row over Leniu. He's been one of the best second rowers this year. Leniu as an impact player unmatched. Samoan coach said there's a few players who wants to change eligibility to samoa he's been in contact with so it should be exciting to see who they are

Halves and hooker all Maori too. ;)

@Clarkent Is Manu definitely out of the tests? I thought he didn't switch until 2025? Anyway, CNK will probably be fullback, centres will be where the selection discussion will be.

Kiwis coach already confirmed that Manu will be off to Union straight after the nrl season, Suaali'i will be the same as well

I think Nanai is still commited to Australia
Nanai has told the Samoan coach he's interested in playing for Samoa at the end of the year but the samoan coach also said he'll wait until the end of the year to confirm because players always change there minds. Now that RTS is committed a few more players will want to play for samoa tbh. Haas is also another one who's openly said he wants to represent samoan and he recently said the last game against Samoa was the toughest one for him to get over not representing samoa. If I was an aussie fan hearing my own star player saying that I would be pissed off tbh 😂

Tino won't be switching anytime soon, he said on a recent podcast he'll be playing for Austrlia as long as Mals selecting him.

Has Nania officially said he's chosen Samoa ?
Tino also said he won't commit to the aussies for life because he wants to represent Samoa in the future

Correct, I can't find the freaking interview to link ( it's somewhere in the youtubiverse ) but sounds like Tino will represent Samoa later in his career.

Would be great if Haas chooses Samoa, it's possible within the next few year's Australia could finish last in the Pacific Championships., even this year with some key injuries there's a chance they could be beaten by both Tonga and NZ.

I think most Aussie fans want the PI's to do well as it's great for the international game.

Good news about Haas and Nanai!

I knew you'd say something like that.

He can either play in the 2nd rate comp, or play for the big boys like his Dad. We will see I guess.
"I wouldn’t want to choose between [New Zealand] and Cook Islands," Iro said. "If there was a way to play for both in the same year I would but I would prioritise Cook Islands"

I quote from Iro a month ago
