They could play fifteen international games a season but if the players only get minimal payments the ones who can will still opt for the path that leads to the big money.
Do these matches full of heritage players really grow the game in the nations the teams lend their name to? Should we not first develop competitions within these nations to develop players to the required test standard and then have them play on the test stage. It is not long ago that the only test playing Cricket Nations were Aust, Eng, S Africa and WI. Countries such as IND, Pak, Sri Lanka and NZ have been developed to full test status. Look at the recent cricket world cup. A resounding success. Copy the system that works, don't reinvent the wheel.
PNG really disappointing. Expected more after a full year in the Qld Cup

Same... expected much more... but they lack the nrl players
Agree with heritage players. Don't mind each team having a set amount but would like to see 6 or 7 from the home country as a rule. Also wouldn't playing these games in the home countries be of more value and give the best chance of growth. These things I feel would give way more credibility to the international scene.
By the way how does Luke page qualify for png can someone clear that up?
Hope the games are telecasted live in there respected countries
Can anyone confirm if they were? If not, these games are absolutely pointless. Rughy league needs to be promoted on the pacific islands themselves.
