El Diablo said:it was official. only 1 ICC official said not guilty.
6-1 must make Inzy feel all warm and fuzzy inside
Where did i say i knew what they wanted? i know about as much as you but i look at the case without the anti-subby bias.El Diablo said:you're the dickhead who just jumped in and said you knew what the ICC wanted. i haven't even mentioned them
I hair would have handled it like this i would have been with him. He just mucked it all up.
Ball tampering might be a problem in the Paki team i don't know and if it is they need to be punished.
so basically you attack me for saying it was the right thing. How do you know what the extent of the tampering was? maybe it was only small thats why he wasn't suspended.yeah, they should just be allowed to get away with it

Angry_eel said:See thats what you want not the pakis or ICC.
Angry_eel said:So in other word i was with you. I agreed that it was the right decision, culprits should be punished.

Ok allright. Yes if they fined him then thats what they want, i know that because i have seen ther decision. Let see which backflip you will do now.El Diablo said:here
no dickhead, i don't know enough about the pakistani team. I don' watch their matches unless they are playing India or Australia. So i can't assume if they have a ball tampering problem or not. IF they have this problem they need to be properly punished by the ICC. Infact, whenever any player of any team is caught ball tampering, the match officials or the ICC should decide what punishment should be given.liar
you said you didn't know if they needed to be punished. see below
I know they(the team) should be punished severly IF there is a culture of ball tampering in their coaching/team. If an individual player tampers with the ball then he should be dealt with accordingly.as pointed out above you didn't know if they should even be punished.
you like making it up as you go along?
Yes there is, its called accidental. If its found to be accidental then the player shouldn't face as bigger punishement as they would face if it was deliberate.there is no such thing as a small amount of ball tampering
Who's making up things as they go along now? Where did i say that? Any one can do wrong be it Australian, Indian, Paki, Brit or whoever.the subbies can do no wrong according to you. you've always got some lame excuse

Nope.El Diablo said:would you like India to nuke them?
JJ said:no, evidence should be presented and discussed in a rational manner...
Shame they had no evidence apart from some opinions on the ball - anyone can have an opinion on the ball...
HevyDevy said:So JJ, were the umpires wrong to penalise Zarai Taraqiati Bank Ltd five runs?
Sounds like it was an IDENTICAL case to the Hair one yet they're applauded for their actions.
So where's the difference?
HevyDevy said:But the report says that the ZTBL team changed the ball "in the umpires' opinion" but that they "failed to spot the real culprit."
So if there is no actual proof, why are they going on the umpires' opinions? Why is it good enough for those umpires but not for professional umpires in Hair and Doctrove?

Pakistan fined for ball tampering
From correspondents in Karachi, Pakistan
November 21, 2006
PAKISTAN'S former domestic cricket champions were charged with ball-tampering in a first class match, officials said.
Umpires changed the ball and docked Zarai Taraqiati Bank Ltd (ZTBL) team five runs on the penultimate day of the match against Pakistan Customs in Karachi on Sunday, match referee Khalid Niazi said.
In their (the umpires') opinion ZTBL team changed the condition of the ball but the umpires failed to spot the real culprit, Niazi said in a statement.
Team captain Rao Iftikhar was fined $US83 ($108) as a collective punishment.
Paceman Mohammad Khalil, who has played two Tests for Pakistan, was called for a hearing but no evidence was found against him so he has been cleared, the match referee added.
The team won the league two years ago.
Ball-tampering allegations against Pakistan's national team snowballed into a major controversy during the fourth Test against England at The Oval in August this year.
Pakistan refused to return to the field after umpires Darrell Hair of Australia and Billy Doctrove of West Indies docked five runs against Pakistan and changed the ball, thereby forfeiting the match for the first time in Test history.
Captain Inzamam-ul-Haq was later cleared of ball-tampering charges but banned for bringing the game into disrepute.
Tampering cases have been reported in Pakistan's domestic cricket in the past as well and the Pakistan Cricket Board has given special instructions to deal with the menace.
JJ said:perhaps the ball was clearly doctored? unlike the test one
