Panther Player sex tape

I don’t necessarily think he’s done anything wrong either but I have issue with people coming on here & saying things like ‘I heard it’s the girls camera & she wanted it filmed & sent out’ & people eating it up as if he hasn’t just made it up to defend a player.

Magpie made some good points & he got shot down because his opinion didn’t align with the May is entirely blameless narrative.

Who has said May is blameless? Everyone is saying it is their business and not blaming anyone

He was making out the women involved had nothing to do with it. Anyone that agreed to have it on film is too blame.

I get both points there but think you're mixing the two.

No one's innocence or guilt in this should be woven in with unsubstantiated hearsay from forumites. I'm not experienced with the moderation in the Pennies forum but suspect that comment might be goneskis.

Again, why do you feel the need to impose your personal beliefs on this Forum??

Why would you think that we would care which way your moral compass points?

Go tell your friends that you feel sorry for the girls and you think Tyrone May is an arse wipe.
Are you the same Luke Bowden who used to like expressing your own opinions on Cronulla Shark related matters on the Sharks forum a couple of years back?

Looks like the punishment for May won’t be too severe, according to this SMH article:

The NRL’s Integrity Unit will investigate the case of the two videos featuring two men and two different women. However, it will be reluctant to act in single cases where the sex and filming was consensual and the distribution was not by the player.

“We won’t put targets on players’ backs,” one official said, cognisant of statistics showing an increasing trend of young people sending/archiving sexually explicit images of themselves.

Furthermore, the administration is aware NRL clubs are preparing for more videos to be leaked in coming weeks.

The message from NRL Central appears to be that if only two people shared a video prior to it being released by the vengeful partner, the administration is not interested.

It is also aware the revenge porn laws in Australia are strong. If a player’s ex-partner releases videos of him – vision which had been previously shared only between them – it is likely the former partner would be charged by police.

So, if the law treats revenge porn one way – to protect the innocent – it would be ludicrous for the NRL to act differently.

Good to see wise heads here. The best we can hope for now is players seeing the light and not filming such things

Remember when Jennifer Lawrence was applauded for her sexuality when her photos got leaked?
She's got a face full of jizz FFS.
I don't see the SAG condemning her and stripping her of salaries and movie opportunities.

Then there was the US Soccer team goalie doing a variety of things with her back door, "This act goes beyond the bounds of human decency" was said at the time at the image leaks.

WTF is so different here? Without knowing all the details (who recorded, who shared, consent, relationship between participants), why are the first thoughts "oh i hope SHES ok, hes a merkin, suspend/ban/strip $$$$$$$$"

I would hold this opinion Panthers player involved or not. I am still confused as to why the source of the video leaks re: Nappa have not been investigated.
This tells people who hold potentially embarrassing content of players that its OK to share anonymously because we only want to punish the player, regardless of how the content is acquired and the motives behind sharing.

Wow. Common sense being applied. Slap him with a fine for the negative publicity and move on.

What’s your point?

I was also a season ticket holder of the Sharks and would attend most games with my old man.

You’ll note, that I have not been there since Dad got the shits with the Cronulla board and left.

Lol f**k these merkins are horny and love the risk of filming!
Question is, and as I stated earlier many times, who has motive to release this stuff?
Stuff like this could be the downfall of individuals, clubs and the league if we allow it to derail the on field action and let the bedroom action become the focus.

That is the question. A question that once the players get looked at as victims they might get to the bottom of

It's honestly getting ridiculous to the point that in this case, someone just has a serious vendetta against the club. I definitely agree that this needs to be sorted as soon as possible - if May missing the trial on the weekend is anything to go by, every time one is leaked a player will miss another week. It is a concerning trend which will continue to occur until the NRL works to seriously investigate who and why these videos are being leaked. They are from the past so this is the only way to fix it if they don't want more videos released because it seems to be a more widespread issue across the league. Sure, the players may have been dumb if they recorded it but off recent years, it's not like they would have expected it to leak. They need to be given a chance to learn but instead they are being leaked at the expense of these players' welfare.

Why did he see the need to express his sympathy for the women, on here? How is it anything but antagonistic.
I think Maggie4 is insecure about his and other ppls daughters ending up on the internet doing filthy sex acts.

Morally I understand his POV, but he has gone down the wrong path in using this example because this was,in essence, a private matter which wasn't meant to be seen by others.

So for Maggie4 and others who are worried about this scenario, educate your kids and be sure to make them understand the implications of using social media in a bad way.

Must not be any high profile players from our team if it starts off with Tyrone May and then drops to a couple of reserve graders.

Unless theyre saving the 'good videos' for later. But considering at worst our bench utility is changed we haven't really been hurt at all by these videos.
