The NZRL have known for weeks that Galavau was not going to be available for the GB trip and accepted that he needs the surgery and that this was no club V country row rather a necessity for the player.

As for Puletua the NZRL have also known for weeks on his situation but decided themselves to rule him fit for the tour. With one of Australias top ankle surgeons ruling a recovery period of 4 months it is fair for Penrith to rule their player out, and to be fair Puletua also seems to know it is a necessary operation as for one there have been no qoutes or demands from him to play in the series as well as himself recognising himself it is a serious injury which he has carried for quite a while during the season and is very similar to the one which ended Martin Langs career. Remember the guy is only 25 and we would much rather see him play for many years to come rather then one of the best second rowers around retiring early because of a persistant ankle injury.

Incorrect. Penrith's own ankle surgeon has now said Puletua could have the surgery post tour and be fine for round 1.

You seriously are lossed, "Penriths own ankle surgeon", why would Penrith have their own ankle surgeon?

The point here is that all the people who have assesed Puletua and claimed him fit to tour are all just team physios. A respected Australian ankle surgeon who will perform the actual operation stated that the recovery time will be 4 months. Now let me think whos opinion i would rather listen too? Errrrrrrrmmmm, i wonder?

D'oh! Who do you think is going to perform the operation? Mick Leary? John Lang. You simpleton, an ankle surgeon!

You're totally incorrect on all accounts - Chris Hanna is a doctor, John Mayhew is one of the world's leading sports doctors and is highly respected worldwide. The ankle surgeon himself (Oh - that ankle surgeon - goose), has said the decision should be in Tony Puletua's hands, ergo meaning it doesn't matter if its now or after the tour he'll be right for round 1.

Give yourself a triple. The more you get into this argument the more you validate the opposing sides facts. You've shown little contempt for factuality throughout all of this. Its very sad that you would waste your time seemingly thinking you're helping your own argument out but infact showing the nevilleness of the "pettiness" of the Panther fans rebute.

At least for the guys involved in surgery (Utai, Puletua, Gulavao) they got to play in one game for their country in all of this.

Throw in Vainikolo for Utai, Lauitiiti and Wiki in the second row (Rahuihihi at prop), and Kiwis haven't lost anything at all for mine. Looking strong.

Yep, and all three did their country proud. Kia Kaha Matt Utai, Joe Galuvao and Tony Puletua.

As a Penrith fan I am dissapointed in my club and for Tony.

Playing for your country is the greatest honour a player can hope for in the game and nothing would ever stop me playing for Australia if given the chance.

There has been no quote from either the Australian surgeon himself or Penrith to
to substantiate that the above comment is correct.

That statement was made by New Zealand officials. They stated that the Australian
surgeon had agreed that Puletua could delay surgery. The Australian surgeon has
made no public statements at all.

This is just like the false statement made by New Zealand officials which stated that
a letter was sent to them by Penrith which said that it was up to Tony if he continued
to tour or not. This was in fact publically and categorically denied by Penrith. They
said that no such letter was ever sent. What does that prove. A specific lie by New
Zealand officials to suit their own needs of course.....

Or a specific lie by Penrith to make themselves look better.

Your statement would have more credibility without all the cats surrounding it.

The paragraph and genuinue sourced link to Penrith denying claims from New Zealand saying that there was a letter stating Tony had the choice is in the Penrith section IanRitchie.

So far everything you New Zealanders have thrown up at us we have counter-attacked with genuine sourced facts. Something you all seem lost on.

Luke Lewis didnt get a chance to play because of an injury. You dont see Aussies whinging about it.

Was Lewis ruled out by the Panther's medical staff or the Australian team's medical staff?

Was Lewis capable of playing with the injury?
