Everyone is saying Harry had a good game what did he actually do apart from missing 6 tackles two of which lead to tries and always misses 4or5 every week how is he going to stop first graders if he cant stop toyota cup players but i guess some people think defence isnt important ...

Stretch you can fix his defence with some good coaching, but very hard to coach the way he reads a game and thinks. Are you saying he had a bad game?
Yes he missed 6 tackles, but his kick metres were excellent, same with the goal kicking. I had my doubts about Harry over the past two years playing in NYC, but I think Gus moving him over to Windsor has improved his game. Lets hope Cleary or Georgallis put some work into his defence.

The 20's were shocking again today. The Roosters could have scored 60 had they not taken there foot of the pedal. The inability of some of these kids to 'tackle' is astonishing.

I've been saying this for years. Our modern day junior coaches simply do not coach kids how to tackle.

All they need to do is sit down and watch footage of Luke Lewis and copy his technique, but gymps like Stretcher will tell you that you must go high in a tackle, blah blah blah......

I know you are not a fan of the legs tackle from previous posts.

Ps. I can read, and I'm also a big fan of punctuation ;-)

Ive never said a legs tackle is bad in the past ive said they create quicker play the balls and us guys who actually know footy know that the game is won in the ruck. And in regards to punctuation who gives a shit please say something usefull instead bagging...p.s Tony Satini is a great player but cant tackle missed 11 on sunday...and he tackles high no legs tackles bottom line some can tackle some cant...

Bottom line is kids aren't being coached properly in the correct tackling techniques, and are clearly too worried about being pretty boys and aren't prepared to put the body on the line to the same degree as old school.

I wasn't impressed with Seijka in the Bulldogs game or for Windsor. He wants the glory, he needs to do the hard work also. Yet refuses to tackle or touch the ball outside our attacking 20.

Moylan on the other hand could be the running 6 we are after. Put Lewis in the 11. Austin 13. Burns 9. That's a great attacking setup

I hope there is a bunch of decent forwards waiting to enter the 20's team for next year, I would only rate Horton as worth keeping out of the current bunch.
What were this year's SG ball forwards like?

While moylans running game has been great, his defence on the weekend was very ordinary. 5 tackles, 2 ineffective and 8 missed. I still believe he could be a player for the future. Needs to get that touch football out of his game though.

With this season likely coming to an early end, who do we think will feature in the 20's next year. Anyone care to take a rough guess as the possible lineup based on talent we have and rumoured to be coming.

Anyone have info on Justin Genoseve??? His playing outstanding on debut. He & Dengate could lift us to the 8 next season. Or are they too old??

Justin Genovese is an Erskine Park boy. Remember playing a bit of street cricket with him when i went to a mates place. Pretty sure he went to Hills Sports High.

He is a current Maltese International too.

Played SG Ball for us 2 years ago IIRC.

I think we need to blood a few young blokes in FG. Just give them a taste, given that we can't make the semi's in either NYC or FG.
