regarding Idris, yet you still put him in that list for some reason, you're trying to make it sound like you're missing half a dozen origin representatives
Read it again numb nuts. We have better options LONGTERM.
Right now our best centre pairing is Dean Whare and Jamal Idris. Both of them are rep experienced players. As are Josh Mansour, Peter Wallace and Brent Kite. James Segeyaro isn't far off being a rep player either.
That sort of experience in tight games is massive. Instead of an incumbent Australian winger and the best tackle breaker in the game, we had a 5 game rookie. Instead of an incumbent Kiwi centre, we had a 5 game rookie. Instead of a former Origin representative centre, we had a winger/fullback with less than a season of NRL experience playing out of position.
If you think those 6 starting players don't make a difference, try and picture how Broncos would go without their equivalents:
Copley
Hodges
Reed
Hunt
McCullough
Blair
They would get blown off the park by any team with 6 starting players out. Most teams would. Which is why Panthers fans can be impressed with the performance despite the result. We should never have been close. Let alone only losing due to an unlucky end to our last set.
We're only one win behind where we were at this point last year. With many players due to come back soon.
