I know why ivan doesnt want nathan grubbering it in..

Doesnt like risking 7 tackle sets..

But he needs to balls up and realise you dont break down the good teams in attack in one set.

Fatigue and large amounts of pressure.

Bring back the bloody grubber. Nathan and luai both used to execute it brilliantly but its like ivan has put a stop to it last 12 months..

Anyone think paulo isnt getting sloppy after 3 repeat sets?

We dont give api a chance to get crafty because we arent patient enough..

This isnt just a this week issue. I said a few weeks back naths been avg all year since returning.

Piss off trying to score every play. Its fine against the shit teams but as we saw tonight it just doesnt work against the committed good sides.

Im not suprised parra beat us at all. We havent been playing great footy.. just doing what we had to.. and parra are a good team.

Ivan needs to have a different game plan that includes patience for the top teams..

The longer we can keep a team pinned down an end the more it brings api into the game..

And tonight surely is the end of the salmon experiment ffs. Hes been ok but i said weeks ago he wouldnt get any mins in a tough arm wrestle..

Just a passenger.. just pick chris smith or hopgood or riki next week ivan ffs.

Kiks was our best tonight.. by a long way..

Hopefully he can continue hes good form

I think there were enough opportunities for him to play off the front foot.

I don't know if it came through on TV but it was a skinny 10 tonight. For both sides offloads worked for them

Without the quick play the balls we had no plan B. Some good lessons will get learnt out there

Salmon offers more than Kenny.
Need edge guys to pick form up in Cup.
The middles are the stars of that side.

When we have the same outcome v the Storm. They will go back to what worked last year

So stuck to the game plan they missed oppurtunities a few of the ruck..

Parra just condensed in in defence when we were bringing it out of our own end cause the know we just go dylan, too, critta, taylan kick....

Nath missed about 4 oppurtunities i reckom to spread it wide when we had 3 or so more numbers..

Just wildly sticking to a game plan and not playing heads up footy..

Parra isnt the kind of team you can out muscle. Especially not with kenny and salmon on the bench..

We needed to be a little bit more expansive coming out of our own end....

The one out stuff from the backs played right into their hands. There big boys were able to really bunch up and slow the ruck down.. and ba is ballsy enough to pick 4 forwards on the bench so they could just rotate them.

Ivan needs to take a fair bit out of that tonight too..

Honestly, the Panthers looked mentally fatigued. They were just not 'sharp' and you could tell 2-3 game ago that they were slipping.

Even when we were losing I wasn't too worried because we were physically bashing them. Our field position between 45-60 mins was dominant. We then get a 6 again, push an unnecessary offload then Fish drops the ball and it was all Parra from there.

Nathan was also garbage tonight and Luai has been a passenger for a while. I thought our forwards and backs dominated theirs but their halves trumped ours and that is why we lost.

Hopefully this is a wake up call to a squad that has slowly mentally switched off.

Moses leota nd Brian t'oo were outstanding 1st games in 8 weeks and the 2 best panthers on the field.Nathans kicks were terrible too shallow end over end no spiral to force a knock on and he took some really selfish options tonight.Edwards was playing well up until he let that ball bounce once again.Chrichton looked like Charlie Staines at times stop start gets on the outside of his man then stops and goes back inside.Fisher played well apart from.knocking on 1st tackle.Didnt like how kikau stayed down and left us short when parra scored before halftime,he could have got to his feet defended on the wing then gone off. Both bench players need to go I'm sorry against the storm u can't have Kenny and salmon in the team.Bring in sorenson and osullivan. We lost tonight because our halves had there worst game in the last 2 yrs.We will beat the storm trust me.Congrats parra on winning tonight but we will get you at comm bank later this yr.

4 tries and a fifth, the best rugby league try of the night disallowed. That would be enough any other night but all our bad luck came in a clump. Not sure what you'd change.

You aren't going to win against good teams with 45% and under 80% completion.

Throw in the halves playing terrible and there is a few things.

Throw in what we learn from next weeks game and plenty of things to tweek in our game

The biggest reason we had 45% was 80% of naths shit bombs landed in between the 20 and 30m line instead of the try line and the 10m line..

It was solely on him..

With how punishing we were in defence.... he he lands even half the shit bombs 25m further back possesion swings to about 55% us. If he gets most right like he does when at his best thzn possesion wouldve been bout 60% us

It is hard to say without knowing the game plan but neither half getting a try assist was telling.

You do miss things at the game but it seemed like we weren't setting up for anything. Just working to edges

Then putting up a high kick in the hope they drop it.

That is not going to get the job done.

That is the reason I was looking forward to this period. To see what the side has and if we develop better.
