Parra coach Kearney refuses to expand on Sandow problems.

I still can't believe he compared sandow to George rose.

On the hayne statement its the first time I have heard a peep from him in regards to coaches. Players know if a coach has the goods.

I was one fo the people who welcomed SK to the club as I thought he would be the X factor bringing the best out of us, Melbourne structure coupled with some flait as la Kiwis

The interview really struck me as someone who lacks confidence and could be struggling with the pressure,to be honest we need a better spokepserson. We did our best when DA gave up and just let the players do their own thing, maybe that is the answer.

IMO the club needs to put a media ban in place and fast.

This interview made Kearney look like an absolute idiot with no f**king idea. And it also doesn't help with Hayne coming out and questing Kearney's coaching style.

They all need to shut up and get on with business and stop fuelling the media.

If that's the case he will be the 3rd coach in succession to give up and really questions whether this club needs a coach if the players rule the roost

Gastric banding is the answer
For both!

It's already happened for Sandow.

That's why he was given the week in Wenty - still recovering from the surgery.
He's on the bench this week because he's still not 100% recovered from all the meds.

Thats what drives me insane, the players seem to decide whether they want to play hard or not. They should learn something from the Bronco players who hated Henjack with a passion but still turned up every week.

Silly SK. "I don't know" or "I have no idea" could prove to be his death rattle as middle stump cartwheels towards the keeper. Throw away lines are taken as gospel out Parra way.

Perhaps that's the culture they're trying to weed out
At the end if the day, whether you like management or not you still perform to the best of your ability.

Someone i know made a good point today.

Matt Ryan & Joseph Paulo are 2 kids who have been given a crack at first
grade, and are the 2 who are averaging the most offloads per game.
Would you think if you're given an opportunity at first grade, that you
would go against your coaches instruction and offload the ball?

Isn't that the year they didn't make the 8?

They wouldn't have done that had he been their 5th coach in 5 years.

The problem is that the players are used to being "kept" while the coach is "changed".
So if there is an issue, it seems the players assume the coach is going to lose (whether consciously or subconsciously).
And even new players to the club pick up on the 'long term' attitude that prevails.

It should've been fixed by sticking to Ando.
Now it needs to be fixed by sticking to Kearney (until the end of next year at least/most). It would be nice if it turned out he was actually an awesome coach and we started winning some games - would make the 'culture shift' much easier.

We all know it's easier to dump 1 person vs a team
But I think there's some validity on what your saying

DA Gave up?
I assume you are referring to the line in the media conferences that he didn't know what turned it around during the golden run of 2009?

If so there is one game in that run that stands out like a sore thumb. The Round 26 match against the Dragons Friday night. Where from all reports DA didn't give the boys a game plan and let them play. They ended up not scoring a point, and when I looked at the game thought, yep we had done our dash.

Yet DA did give them a game plan the week after, and we won against the Dragons, who were the Minor Premiers.

But yeah DA gave up.

No Meds required for a banding. . . . I speak from experience.

They also rallied to get rid of him after a poor year (by their standards) and when they did they haven't looked back since.

For f**k's sake. If that interview doesn't make the fanbois wake up then what the f**k will?

Any benefit I was willing to give Kearney is now gone. He must go.
