Who here is happy about this season??? We are in this mess for a whole multitude of reasons, Hagan number 1 IMO. He set us back at least 5 yrs, we overacheived bigtime through the brilliance and Hayne and the awesomeness of Fui. Number 2 is Fitzy who hired the cretin, The new board and DA have to take the rest of the blame. We chased pipe dreams last yr, hopeing to nab Cronk or Thurston which were never a hope. Letting go Mateo,INU and Keating with no one to replace them was dumb personified. I feel sorry for Ando because he inhertited Hagans mess but i doubt he was the man to get us out of this. Hopefully Kearney is time will tell but our recruitment has been good without being brilliant....... A few more good signings and we are on our way.

So select one line from my post, lets not adress the facts, So this is all 3p's fault???? Nothing to do with previous management at all huh??? Did 3P sign that Gimp Hagan???? Did 3P Sign Funch to a big contract and let go Hodko,Maloney,Kelly go???? As i said they brought Kearney in to turn the club around did you seriously think we were a contender this year??? Especially after losing Tahu and Grothe before a ball was kicked. No excuses here just explaining the facts, but but but but facts are no good, I'll just stamp my feet like a child and blame everything on the current management no matter what happened before they took over.

I actually think taking it back to a mini casino may be a good idea, this full-on one with $500,000 poker tournaments and $2,000,000 increased spending on poker machines doesn't attract me (poker machine plant 2009 - $4,361,460......2010 - $6,222,715).

The one place that I used to go for a beer without the ringing of poker machines seems to have been turned into a restaurant with prices to match.

my brother in law who is not a fan of the eels said, def coming back here, he goes to tinga and loves it, my wife loved it last night, so did my best man.

It may be a good restaurant. But a lot of people in here seem to be commenting on the fact that Sterlo's Bar used to be a nice place to sit down and have a quick cheap beer with mates before games, or to watch away games, but now they are charging restaurant prices for a beer which is an extra $1.70 per drink which is disgraceful. So you win a few customers, yet you lose a lot. Care to comment on that?

if you honestly think this club was mismanaged for 30 years you are the deluded one. The management of this club got us through some tough times and some great times over the last 30 years, it probably needed some refreshing earlier but to say the last 2 years have been the best of the last 30 years show how "personal" your freindship is.

are you deadly serious???? other than game days (and they even struggled to get numbers on game days) the level 3 bar was a non event for many many years, in fact i remember going to the bistro for a feed than heading upstairs only to be sent back down because they had to shut early due to lack of patraniage...

it was one of the gripes that me and several fans had leading into the 09 elections...I myself told both sides of the fence that something had to be done and only 1 side listened..

In all honesty, Sterlos was only busy for 10 days out of the 365 days of the year.

The Firehouse now caters for non rugby league evenings now.

I have been to Sterlos over a million times and it was always dead besides game days.

On poker nights there would be the same 5 blokes watching tv and having a beer.

There was never over 10 people on week nights.

It was a dump. Simple as that.

It needed a facelift and now long term it will establish itself.

I can't believe some of u are carrying on like babies.

Some old habits never die on the forums, we ALL have our agendas but gee sometimes u need to let go and have a look around cause our leagues club is one of the worst in the state.

Anyway, check the place out and then comment all the like.

The thread was about the firehouse launch and now it's turned into a rabble of a thread and complete garbage talk.

Some people here can't simple adapt to change.
