Amazing how the game has evolved. In the early days that I have memories of the players worked a regular job, trained twice a week then played on the weekend. I don't remember the need for such scrutiny of plays and players behaving badly like it is today. Only bad thing I remember was Dallas Donnelly spitting at a TV crew outside a judiciary meeting. Oh yeah, and that Les Boyd SOO forearm.

Nah, that's still about the grading of dangerous contact to the head or neck.

Maybe at a push bringing the game in to disrepute, more likely 'behaving in a way contrary to the true spirit of the game'. But, as the rules are written, there's just nothing else there.

I agree, but it's frustrating, because we all know he attempted it.
