I'm not reading through this whole thread but what's the talk been re that grub Reynolds foot trip last night? He's got form for it that's for sure. And to be expected, quiet as f**k on the Dogs site.

Nothing has been said here, but Triple M mentioned it and said it was a dog act from a guy with form.

How come Gower gets put on report for a regulation tackle just because the Dog stays down, but they can hit Semi high - and we don't even get a penalty out of it?

I heard it mentioned on triple M and they said it was nothing (hooper, wendell, girds, squires)

and semi took a dive

Trip is a trip irrelevant of injury! Grub led with the foot, already done time for it this year. Should get 5 weeks or something this time around.

Very similar tackle by the raiders to Gower's reported one. Sharks player told to play the ball, no penalty.

I'm lazy so can anyone tell me how many players have been charged and/or missed games for these crusher tackles? At least 1 is put on report every weekend and I never seem to hear anyone miss time for it.

Last nights was atrocious and I can't believe it was put on report!

Halfbacks generally make or break a team.

Foran is a good fit for the team. Great organiser and a very skillfull individual , and very mature and a proven winning world cup champion and an NRLpremiership winner.

Link in the chain?????? You are an idiot.

He is more than a link. He is the type of player with his maturity and skill that can win the eels a premiership.

I agree with you that Foran will be a good fit for the team. I was just stating that he is a link in the chain like any other player. However, I don't agree with your misguided appraisal of my IQ. Show some maturity.

You're taking the piss if you think Semi's tackle deserved a penalty.

On the other end of the scale, Gower didn't deserve a penalty either,

That's exactly my point - thanks for reinforcing it.

If Gower was penalised and put on report, then the tackle against Semi should have been, too.

I'm not sure what's so difficult to understand here.

Reynolds not charged for the trip. I assume that he did not make contact with the ball carrier ?

LOL, what a load of bullshit this decision over the grub is. The f**king grub blatantly stuck his leg out to trip Sandow. The grub does not have a faulty wayward leg with no control over it. There were at least 5 Eels in the moment who witnessed and reacted to what the grub attempted. The NRL needs to be dismantled from inside. The responsible f**kwits behind it are destroying the true spirit of our game.

Reckless?

Nah, that's still about the grading of dangerous contact to the head or neck.

Maybe at a push bringing the game in to disrepute, more likely 'behaving in a way contrary to the true spirit of the game'. But, as the rules are written, there's just nothing else there.
