Kalepi is back to full training now, i wouldn't be surprised to see a return for RD1, 2 at the latest.

Until Kelepi and Loko are fit and have played a few games each (15-20) in a row then second-row is our weakest position but is potentially one of our strongest.

Says a lot about 1) his skill and effort, and 2) the team in general, that even though he is a 9 game "veteran", he is the first backrower picked in our side when fit IMO.

I have loko in front on him but gee it has been a long time since we have had two backrowers with the potential of loko and kelepi.

Surprising omissions are Allgood and Junior Paulo thought they would have been close to top 17 picks (or worth a start in the trial side) - gower / Pauli have been picked in front of them.

Looks like docker may have moved in front of jones/Foran for the 14 spot if Arthur goes with a second hooker.

Falou must be impressing the right people.

Don't rate Allgood and it doesn't surprise me he wasn't chosen. He's soft, I don't know in how many games I saw in the last few years he only aimed up with a decent run when the game was over with a few minutes left in a game.

In juniors I think. But I doubt he is going to be a career centre, the kid is made for the second row.

He also turned out for Wenty at lock last year when he was dropped for missing a recovery session (I think).

Also, obligatory f**k YEAH for the upcoming trial.

I thought Arthur's made him part of the leadership group. If he wasn't chosen for the trial squad it's probably because he's injured. He didn't play in the Wenty trial either.

So assuming our Round 1 side comes from the Manly trial squad we are looking at:

FB - Hayne
Wingers - Folau/Radradra/Sio/Toutai/Morgs
Centres - Hoppa/Tonga
5/8 - Norman
Halfback - Sandow/Kelly
Hooker - Peats
Middle Forward - Mannah/MoiMoi/Lussick/Gower/Pauli
Edge Forward - Edwards/M'au/Jo Paulo/Smith/Terepo
Interchange - ZDC

I'd go with the team in bold, although I'd love for Kelepi to make a round 1 comeback in place of Smith.

I've just assumed that Morgs is no shot at beating Hoppa or Tonga to a centre spot.

I reckon j Paulo should slot down as a 14, and I think gower might get the edge in bold over Mau, maybe radrada also in bold on one wing but otherwise looks pretty much right to me
