How about instead of giving it to the Storm players you use your energy to show support to your own team?

People who go to a game and swear rubbish at opposition teams/players are losers.

If you are at a game and there are 2 teams playing and you are screaming out "cheats" and booing one team.......i am pretty sure you are going for the other team, therefore supporting them.......

People won't be just giving it to the Storm, they will also be CHEERING for the Eels, all it will do is create a fantastic atmosphere where there is constant noise, which in my experience is awesome!!!!!!

i would be disapointed if Eels fans made a big deal of this tbh.. but it wouldn't be the first time Eels fans have disapointed me..

Why Jess? :hg:

This is what sport is about........passion.
It's truly what we lack in this country to make all sports an even greater spectacle because tbh, atmosphere in this country at sporting events sucks.
There is absolutely no doubt we as fans should give it to Melbourne in spades.
Honestly, f**k 'em.
I know it ain't ALL the players fault blah blah blah, but seriously, we are going to this game to see the Eels win, and we should do whatever possible to make sure that happens.
Support our team, and give the opposition as much hell as possible.
That is our duty.

Passion - one thing.

Drunken scary yobbo abuse of players who may or may not have been apart of the whole thing? - another thing.

Unfortunatley the latter is what i'm expecting....

Trying to put together some witty things to yell out.

"That tackle was as high as their mansions"

"Get their butlers onside ref"

"The only way they weren't offside would be if they were in their Ferraris"

F*** the players. If you aren't watching the last 20 minutes of this game at the Royal Oak after being ejected, your heart just isn't in it.

tempted to use my free league pass to get into the sth terrace to giv it to them in the warm up, then use my season ticket for when the game starts....and then possibly meet SDM at the royal oak at the 60 min mark haha

You will recognise me, as I will be abusing Justin Poore through the TV for only making a 9 metre hitup.

Wow, it's my birthday in a couple of days and the missus just gave me my present early, 2 tickets to this game, plus airfare. She had to give them to me early so I could decide whether or not to bring over my son to see the families, mine and the outlaws.

Looks like I'll be taking my brother with me to the game, he's a Storm fan. I hope he's ready for some abuse.:D Especially from me.:D

I saw Parra play here in Perth this year, but that doesn't count because it was a trial and most of the top players weren't playing. So the last proper game I went to was when we smashed Brisbane 68-22, so it's been a while.

I agree with the above, for sure.

When I think about the Melbourne Storm and their pathetic cheating, I don't really care if the players were implicit in the cheating, or if the 'big four' failed to add their two contracts up to realise they Storm might be over the cap, or if there was a lone CEO devising it all etc.....This will come out in time and the truth will be hopefully revealed

What I do care about is that the team I have supported my whole life, the team that I have seen lose plenty of heartbreaking finals games since our last GF in 1986 were beaten by a side that was $700,000 over the cap in a Grand Final we could have won.

When I think about that $700,000, and how many players we could have added to the side, or what players they would lose from their squad, it makes me even more angry. When I think that we could have, should have won that GF if the Storm were not cheating, it p#sses me off.

I want to vent my frustrations at the Storm and how unfair their cheating was. The players still represent the club, and I (and I am sure many others) are angry at the club.

It will probably manifest itself just as a Boo when they come onto the field, and an even more rewarding sense of satisfaction if we beat this side (which in 2010 is approaching $1million over the cap if not more), but why treat them like an ordinary side - they are not. It is the reason they have been booted from the competition.

If Inglis doesn't like it, he can can seek solitude in his Speed Boat out on the Yarra (purchased outside the cap), or if Cameron Smith is upset can make himself a comforting cup of tea in his kitchen rennovated for free (and outside the cap). They are big boys and will be on $500k or more regardless of where they end up.

I think Nikki put it best in another thread - a chant of "show us your paycheck!" as loud as possible.:crazy:

(Preferably even louder than the "Tezza's a w.nker!" chant vs the Tiges, of however many years ago - damn that was fun.)
