Atleast our under 20's have a small chance of making the finals. They have been reasonable the last half of the season.

The regulation season of the GIO Schoolboys Cup has just come to a close (3 rounds only) so I have made a round up of all the available footage as well as a list of all our talent involved in said competition. Impressively there are at least 10 of our Harold Matthews squad playing up in open age schoolboy footy and dominating in some cases.

Westfield Sports High (Won 2, Lost 1)

Parra players in action:

  • Alex Seve (HM)
  • Cameron King (SG Ball)
  • Denzal Ligaliga-Tonise (SG Ball/NYC)
  • Filia Utoikamanu (HM)
  • John Fonua (HM)
  • Kytak Chan (HM)
  • Michael Doolan (SG Ball/NYC)
  • Noel Aukafolau (HM)
  • Sean Keppie (SG Ball)
  • Siaosi Mauava (SG Ball)
  • Sione Katoa (SG Ball)

St Gregory's College (Won 2, Lost 1)

Parra players in action:

  • Ethan Parry (HM)
  • Travis Turnbull (HM)

Hills Sports High (Won 2, Lost 1)

Parra players in action:

  • Frank Salu (Mid season NYC)
  • Haze Dunster (HM)
  • Joshua Carr (SG Ball)
  • Kyle Cassel (HM)
  • Oregon Kaufusi (HM)

I assume Turnbull is 17 next year and appears to have massive wraps. Is he good enough to play some 20's next year ?

I know this is a massive jump in grades, but some have done it before at 17. A lot does depend also on physical development as well.

I would be happy to leave him in the SG Ball in light of the fact that we will have Troy Dargan and Michael Doolan steering the NYC around next year. If one of those two gets injured however I think it is within the realms of possibility that Turnbull could make the super early jump (Zach Dockar-Clay pushed up into the 20s at that age) pending on how his fills out between now and then.

We don't need to rush him though so I think he will play out the year in SG Ball.

We'll also have Dean Matterson who's been playing alright for Wenty in the Sydney Shield competition.

Forty, no future eels in the undefeated patrician brothers blacktown team?

We do have nick toomata in there but I don't know if he's played any games. We used to have Josh curran and joey tramontana there, not sure what's the go with those 2.

Ethan fagaloa-time used to be with us too as was william papliiatele.

Joey T finished year 12 last year which is why he's not there.

Also, I found Troy Dargan - he's playing Sydney Shield for Guildford. This is his second week back from injury, and he scored tries in both games. Last week they put 50 on Cabramatta, who are close to the bottom of the table.

This Dargan kid has the most potential since Hodkinson. Agree Forty20?
