Whats your thoughts on Davis playing for Wenty-I know they had a lot of injuries -Was this the reason or did they want too test him out? I heard he wont be here next year from stagger i think?

Cheers fellas! :D

I know the scoreline doesn't reflect but we had a real go today. Penrith's first two tries had serious degrees of luck involved and although their constant second phase ball was damaging we stuck with them throughout the game. I think we were really let down by our fifth tackle plays in the red zone, which comes back largely to ZDC and to a lesser extent Izzard and Doolan.

Josh Aloiai was titanic on the left edge. Smashed Penrith forwards all day in defence and just carried defenders forwards on each run. Tremendous player with a fantastic attitude. He is carrying a couple of injuries as well but continues to impress.

Aaron Pene showed a lot of guts playing through a dodgy knee at prop and later on the right edge when Fuimaono left the field with a knee injury of his own.

The forward pack in general busted their guts with typically workman like efforts from Twal and Markus while Fairouz Elkander had a wholehearted go while Fuimaono was destructive before the aforementioned knee injuy saw him hit the showers early.

The backline were kept busy defensively but French, Miski and Gafa got through a fair bit of work on kick returns and ruck work, Oloapu caused the Panthers some issues down the left edge when he got quality ball as well.

French is a freak. With a bit of weight and first grade training he wouldn't look out of place in first grade on the wing. Lightning quick feet and outpaced charlie taylor who is a noted speedster at the poosters.

And we always hear how parra pick for size anyone who watched this game shows that we don't compared to the chooks. Their middle forwards were monsters compared to ours and even TTS looked average size compared to then. Alex Twal did dominate one of them in a tackle off a kick-off.

3. French
2. Aloiai
1. ZDC

Late Mail

I can't make it out there today but I hope Jack Miller has a good showing in his debut. Has played extremely well in the RMC for Wenty with salary cap issues preventing him from making his NYC debut until now.
