Testing run from French there as the Cronulla defenders hold off on him. Eventually he is pulled down to bring up on the last.

Doolan sends up as swirling bomb that is very well taken by the Cronulla custodian who does very well to put a foot in goals.

Cronulla race up for the 20m tap and Tom Amone does very well to stop him racing 80m to score! Cronulla end up pushing into our red zone and go out wide down our right edge. They go very close to scoring but are driven into touch.

And take two now as this time the Sharks hit the final pass as Miski is beaten this time around.

Shame about letting that is so easily as it undoes a superb try saver on the previous tackle that prevented a dive over from dummy half.

The conversion is unsuccessful.

Cronulla trail the Eels 22-24

Solid set for Cronulla as they kick from halfway. French bats the ball back and quickly cleans it up and races back. Cerruto has a strong charge up the middle before the Eels spin it right where they pick up a long overdue penalty.

Fuimaono goes in first before Josh Grant has an unsuccessful snipe from dummy half.

Izzard uses Pene on an inside line and on the following play French injects himself perfectly to put Cerruto over! Oh hang on, we are coming back for a shepherd...

Only got one look at the replay but it didn't seem to conclusively back the ref's call.

More class work from French has he takes an attacking bomb from the Sharks now.

Tough carry from Miski to start the set.

The ball is spun out to Cerruto who takes the tackle and we go to the opposite edge where I think it is Dane Auckafolau in the #19 who makes a half bust.

The brings up the last where Izzard grubbers shallowly for French, the ball gets two deflections off Cronulla defenders and ends up with Doolan for six again but we immediately turn it over as we get too hot and heavy in spreading the ball out wide.

Well there is some luck as French loses the ball after some tidy work. The refs singal play on but surely that was a knock on.

Parra get to their kick and bomb Jack Rogers who takes it very well.

Aaron Pene puts on a bell ringer but follows it up by getting penalised for taking out the kicker. I thought he made an attempt to tackle him so contentious call.

They take the tap instead of locking the scores up at 24-all and the Eels force the ball loose midway through the count!

Parra fail to complete their reply set as Fuimaono's offload to French is dropped. Was around his ankles there so it was a very tough one.

Oh that was terrible. Sharks had all the momentum after their fullback made a small break.

Their #6 makes a run where there isn't much on but some awful defence sees him step his way to the line.

Dreadful stuff.

The conversion is successful.

Cronulla hit the lead 28-24

Superb work from Gafa! Great work on his inside men as well as they put him into space. Gafa storms over the fullback and winger to score and tie the scores!

The conversion is unsuccessful.

Scores are locked up at 28-all.

Great try saver by French holding the Cronulla player up. Although I'm pretty sure the Cronulla player got it down. We were lucky there.

Good carry from Raeli up front. Some busy work from the Eels this set to go deep into the Shark's half.

French bombs it on the last and the visitors lose it backwards before regaining possession.

The Sharks just burst through down our right and French looked slow to pick up on it but makes a terrific effort to seemingly make a try saver!

We are going upstairs as Cronulla challenge it but it is deemed held up.

Cronulla find the ingoals on the next tackle but French cleans it up and gets into the field of play before he is bizarrely driven into touch touch but neither the ref nor the touchy signal anything so it is play on.

Parra roll down field and find touch near the Cronulla goal line.

Big chance for the Gummies now as they get a 6 again call for a charge down.

Gem of a tackle by Elkander! But the Sharks get over on the next play in very dubious circumstances. It looked like the ball was dropped and scooped up to see the Sharks over.

No challenge from the Eels, I can;t recall if we used our challenge already for this half.

The conversion is unsuccessful.

Sharks lead the Eels 32-28

Short kick off is fielded by the Sharks and they pinch a further 40m.

Cronulla throw bodies at the line but are held up on the last. 90 seconds for PArra to go 90m now.

Fuimaono has a good run down the right. Amone follows him up to halfway.

Second phase play between ZDC and French gets a lucky hand from the Sharks so we get a fresh set of six!

Great hands from fRench to take an awful pass from Izzard.

Twal centres the ball with 30sec left and on the next play ZDC puts Jordan Muna over! Terrific try!

ZDC has the chance to win the game for Parra now.

The conversion is successful.

Parra 24 DEF Cronulla 32

Good try to Muna who brakes through two tackles to score a strong try. Docker-Clay gets the kick and its a 34-32 win the the Eels.
For mine our best were;
French, very good in attack although I'd like to see him more involved.
Gafa, some good support play and three tries.
Cerruto, involved all game and played well in both attack and defence.
Twal, solid.
Grant, went well at dummy half.

Good win for the boys!

How f**king embarrassing are these referees? The top guys are awful and there is nothing coming through to give us hope.
