So Parra has had two players in 8 years considered good enough to be in the Top 17 players each season from the Under 20's competition.

That truly is pathetic from a junior base as big as ours.

#academy

Yeah while we should do better our forward class of 2013/14 has been pretty impressive, the following have debut from 20's for us from that team:

- Pritchard
- Paulo
- Pauli
- Moeroa
- Álvaro
- Ualesi

While toutai / falou has also debuted (plus the dude at the Titans). That's 9 players which is a pretty decent, not sure many other sides would have debuted as many from their 13/14 sides.

Ha ha, starting halves are reserve graders while three on the bench are rep players

And those are the only 2 that made our starting 17 in Round 1 this year, all of the others only got their shot because of injuries and suspensions.

Alvaro may make the Dragons, Cowboys, Knights, Broncos, Rabbits. Most teams are able to carry a no-name prop off the bench, especially one with good cover defence which Alvaro has.

Gronk my iPhone can't read your thumbnail attachment as its too blurry but if it's confirming that Caylo is coaching the 18s than I'd say it's true

on twitter some merkin says

"Caylo how's the 2016 SG Ball side coming along?"

He replies "Not too bad, will be a relatively young side."

will be a lot of last years HM team I assume ?

they had some damn fine layers

There're only a couple of players from our 2014 HM team that played SG Ball this year that could crack that side. One of them is definitely Vinnie Tikeri, another could be Sean Keppie who I believe is still eligible and Adam Campbell may slot into dummy half or off the bench. Outside of those 3 it'd be very hard to shake the team that made the 16's Grand Final team, and with good reason they were easily the best side all year and it was a shame that nerves got to them in the end.

Oh and possible William Papaliitele if he's still eligible and still playing for us

Speaking of a young SG ball side, the train-on squad was named yesterday and there's a fair few 17 year olds in there. Interested to see how Harry Brown goes. He played in the same St Gregs team with Travis Turnbull this year and was pretty good as a left half. From the highlights that I saw he took the line on and played the ball well.

Funny you include both the grand finalists as teams with no depth at prop. I believe Álvaro started at the Broncs and moved on for better opportunities. You must not rate jarrod Wallace, Mitchell dodds, Scott Bolton, and John Asiata. They will all have much better careers in the game than your Pauli Pauli.

Pauli has played more NRL then Asiata but is a year young. While Wallace has only played 13 more games yet is 3 years older. And Dodds is 5 years older and only played 76 games about 40 more then Pauli. So not sure how they have had better careers. Pauli has more potential then those 3 could ever hope for.
