All those games we fluked earlier in the year have come back to bite us.......probably lucky to make the top 4 with how many games we fluked.

Plus, that first half was disgraceful, they deserve everything they get!

The entire competition is just a fluke. The games I have seen this year there has been little or no respect for the ball and closing out a game.

Also the people blowing up are all pretty much morons. It's NYC, that's pretty much the status quo....most of them aren't good defenders til a fair but later in their careers.

Exactly Bazal. To say that none of this squad will make first grade or even deserve to for the matter is foolish.

They have strung together a fantastic year and have unearthed a number of raw prospects that we will see take off in 2015. We also have senior talent in Matterson, Goodall, Lavaka and Folau that will come into the NSW Cup next year where they will ideally push for a first grade spot.

The loss f**king sucks, I was as invested in this team as anyone but that is rugby league.

Bring on 2015, merkins!

Absolutely f*cking disgusting defense and absolutely no desire at all to win with those last two tries.
I hope none of them make it to first grade cause I don't want any part of that piss poor attitude in first grade.

I'd be surprised, outside of Tanginoa, if any of those forwards have lengthy NRL careers ahead of them. I'd be shocked if any of them actually play in a team that plays an NRL final to be honest.

Also don't forget, I am not 100% certain, but a few of the warriors were in last years GF side

Probably not a game to lose Pritchard since the warriors do have big men that can dominate the middle

Fkn idiots. They try to score off the second tackle near the Warriors line and go out. That lost us the game.
yep, I said to myself at the time just run the clock down and dribble one in the in goal.

No composure at all, really the Warriors were stuffed. Plain soft, weak and pathetic.

Typical Eels fan post tbh. We're so pessimistic! And maybe fair enough, we've sucked for ages...but seriously dude, it's NYC. There's a reason it's been shitcanned....it's simply not a great standard of competition. All these kids want to play exuberant footy, they haven't learned the game yet, they just want to get a ball and score with it. It can be exciting but it's pretty much just touch footy.

Not a shot just at you BTW, just easy to quote a recent post.

Steven Clark as video ref , gives the Eels no chance of a decision their way, has been the case for a couple of,years

That last break was a case in pint at NYC level, a lack of attention to detail. ZDC seems to have a. Lot of work in front of him, makes Sandow's defence look like Andrew Johns. Unfortunately, Matterson didn't stand up and apart from a couple of runs, Kelepi was quiet. The younger players stood out, Fuimano and Twal have real potential gouging forward

Again, it's NYC. Composure is not a thing. How many times do you see scorelines of 46-34 and such?

We didn't let him go to keep the rest of this team....it was to keep Moeroa, Pauli Pauli etc.....but you know that.
really??? When did we extend Pauli Pauli???

We extended Tepai's, Out of the forwards for us tonight Kelepi is head and shoulders above all of them.

I was told don't worry we have better forwards coming through, one or two have talent but Kelepi has plenty on them Atm. I can see him coming off the
Bench and being a great buy for the Cowboys working off their gun pack.

Yeah fair enough call on the Under 20 players in general, but I think you also have to realise that we have let a bloke go in that team, who cannot get a run in our NRL because we obviously see him as surplus to requirements, who is three times the player of any other forward in that team. Doesn't say too much for the rest of them.

A few of this years boys would have been there last year. Lisone, Lino, Lolohea, Kata, Hukatai off the top of my head, perhaps a couple more.

The other thing I suppose is that 8th was probably a bit misleading of this teams quality. For a large part of the season the a Warriors have been running out a very young team with the older guys playing NSW Cup. Come finals they threw all the big boys face down to U20's and it has made a big difference.

Having said that, Eels were unlucky to lose that. Were the better team for the most part, especially once they got their handling under control.

Personally I think we saw why Kelepi was the one to go. He is a good player, don't get me wrong, and I'd have loved to have kept him....but he just runs straight and hard. Great when you have 10kgs and 16 games FG experience on everyone else in NYC, but he's one dimensional. He may prove me wrong, but I don't see him developing a step like Manu Ma'u and Pauli have, he's not a hole runner like Moeroa, and he doesn't have an offload like Junior Paulo.

Give Fuimoana, Twal, and Ailoai a season or two (and a taste of the top, like Kelepi) and I think they'll be head and shoulders above the NYC guys too.

ZDC is in his 3rd year if u20's, Matterson is supposedly in full time squad best season. They should have shut the game out IMO. But that's ok they got close, they should have won that game by plenty but thought they only had to play for 15mins to win.

It's endemic throughout all th grades.

SG ball were minor premiers and choked as well, and let's not forget how well first grade finished the season when we had plenty to play for.

But don't worry it's only 20's.

He also has more experience and is older, bigger, and stronger. Again, I'm not slighting Kelepi at all, but comparing him to guys out of SG Ball isn't a worthwhile comparison.

He is better compared to Lisone, for example, who has been around NYC a couple of years and grown up into a massive human, much like Kelepi. And Lisone outplayed him with absolute ease, without Kelepi's FG experience.

Let's not forget both our starting back rowers were 18, and Kelepi is 20, so he should look bigger, stronger and better.

So who would you rather keep out of Moeroa and Kelepi? We also extended Jnr Paulo this season, and extended Mannah's contract. And Matterson is a potential number 13 as well as 6. And, of course, there's the Watmough thing.

He will be a fair to excellent buy for the Cowboys. It's not rocket science to work out that you can't keep em all. I personally would have been happy to keep Kelepi rather than Pauli Pauli....coz I have doubts about Pauli...

I was told they made a choice , extend Ma'u and Edwards or keep Kelepi. Think the aggression and ball skills they have probably made the decision easier

Never like to lose good kids, and he is, came to my club as part of a NRL players at junior clubs and was great. Hope he does well, but just have some doubts he is the next big thing , he ends to develop like say Greg Bird to be more effective
