Bit of a bludger at the moment, isn't it? Parra are definitely looking out of sorts in attack, lots of insipid second phase ball and then dancing by our halves. We are going well enough in the ruck so I think Clay and French just need to start using our backrowers more directly into the line. Davis has only chimed in down the left at this stage so hopefully he begins to raid the opposite edge in the second half.

Second half is underway with the Warriors kicking off.

French sends Raeli on his way for the first run. Twal makes a solid carry, Field follows him up. Fuiamaono crosses the halfway mark and Raeli brings up the last with his second carry of the set.

Davis chases the attacking bomb and gets a play at the ball but loses it forwards. Good first set none the less.

Parra concede the first penalty of the half as they fail to make the onside mark.

Twal is beaten there at dummy half, leading to a big break by the Warriors #10 who beats several other players including Dockar-Clay and Davis en route to his second try. Again, soft stuff. Twal is better than that. The cover defence was also sloppy.

That was very disappointing defence by Fuimoano, Twal and ZDC there. All three should be much better at this level as three of our most promising players.

Line speed is shot this set. Easy metres for the Warriors. Fortunately Jordan Muna is able to come up with another great defensive play to earn a turnover.

Parra complete the set, which is something. Again Dockar-Clay's grubber kick is fielded in the field of play and again Parra concede an easy penalty in defence to aid the Warriors.

Massive danger signs now as the Warriors surge to our goal line. Parra lift to somehow repel them down our left before a contested bomb on Pene's edge is knocked on by the Warriors.

Fuimaono jumps into dummy half to take a run before Tepu-Smith picks up a penalty after he is stripped of possession.

Sloppy play the ball from Muna but no-call from the ref. Davis injects himself down the left edge again, a dummy and then offload to French creates half a chance for the livewire five-eighth but his is driven into touch as he goes to the line.

Bizarrely, Parra earn a penalty against the scrum feed for hands in the scrum.

Kaufusi charges to the line from the tap before Oloapu picks up a penalty for some sloppy ruck work from the Warriors. There is another penalty and now the caution from the ref.

Raeli takes the first run and takes some stopping. He is held up over the line and brings the ball back 10m.

Kaufusi gets the ball back to the goal line before Muna is barely contained. Kaufusi is then held up over the line. French is taken down to bring up the last and the Eels run the ball down their right where Oloapu is pulled down for the turnover.

Error from the Warriors as they reach the halfway line. An offload can't find its intended target cleanly and Parra will get the scrum feed.

Muna is walked off by a trainer and heads down the tunnel. Tom Amone comes on for him.

Better fluency in attack there as Davis comes down the left again but Miski has his foot forced into touch after he is pulled down by some good defence.

Parra will challenge the call. Interesting.

What a bullshit call! You are held the moment you hit the ground based on every single incident i have seen of that, how was him grabbing his foot and moving it into touch AFTER he was already on the ground with 3 guys on him not held????

The call is upheld, Parra lose their ability to challenge further calls in the second half.

Warriors complete the following set with a towering bomb that Miski secures with a jump. Good take under pressure.

Dockar-Clay turns the ball on the inside for Kaufusi. Tepu-Smith has a run next before ZDC kicks deep. The kick is pretty fair this time around and he is pretty unlucky that it ends up rolling dead.

Don't get me wrong, we are playing terrible and i don't think that call going our way would change the way we are playing but f**k these officials know how to be inconsistent and not apply the rules the same across decisions.

More points for the Warriors after some arm grabbing defence from the play before. The ruck defence is completely absent for the NZ centre, Roache on the inside ball and Davis makes a terrible attempted tackle.

NZ not having to work for their points, to be honest.

The conversion is successful.

NZ lead the Eels 22-4

61min gone.

Warriors get done for an obvious obstruction.

Not going to lie, Tepu-Smith was very lazy in pushing across but the call was the right one.

The only way they could make that call is if they reckoned his foot hit the touch line the first time he was rolled over. I don't think it did, but it was close.
