Well that was an awful, awful 40min of footy by the Eels. An inability to complete their sets along with a knack of concede back-to-back penalties have cost them dearly and they will need to haul in a 13 point deficit if they are to meet the Broncos in the decider.

Honestly there isn't much to say. Parramatta must simply complete their sets if they are to get back into this. The fact that the Warriors could only salvage a 13 point lead from the Eels' incompetence could be construed as somewhat positive so if they can level their heads they might be able to make a fist of this game.

It wasn't like they messed up trying to throw the ball around either. Just simple dropped balls taking hitups or from a pass.

Cut down on the penalties and hold the ball and we are still a definite chance.
13 points in the NYC isn't much in a lot of games.

I have a good feeling about this. The warriors should be more ahead and they tend to tire in the second hald.If we can get the first try and trail by 7 with 20 to go we should steam roll them with fresh legs

Our guys must remember to defend as well.
It's all well and good if we can score points, but it doesn't mean much if we can't stop them from doing the same.

Alright you merkins, strap yourselves in for the second half action.

13 point is the margin, 7/17 the completion rate. The Eels can still win this but they will need to hold onto the bloody ball.

I have a feeling we may actually play better this half however end up conceding more points than we did in the first. Just one of those weird games

The Eels will be kicking off in the second half.

Davis gets the second half under way and the Warriors have a barnstorming run to start the set. It would seem that the NZ player has hurt himself during the run so we have time off.

He is receiving treatment from the trainer and is able to get to his feet and play the ball.

Good tackle from Matterson on Tuimavave-Gerrard but a strong run on the next play takes the Warriors deep in Parra's half.

Lino sneds up a bomb on the last but Li takes a great catch. Now for Parra's first set...

A nice offload from Tepu-Smtih to ZDC helps pinch some metres but Folau is driven back on the next tackle to give the Warriors an age to set their line.

Muna nearly drops it on the fifth tackle! Wow. Somehow he reels it in and Matterson does pretty well to drive the ball into touch on the last on the final tackle.

Unsurprisingly, Justin Holbrook has billed the first half as the worst 40min of their season.

Plenty of metres and some second phase ball for the Warriors as they go on the attack again. They undo the pressure though with a poor bomb from Lino that Li fields in goals for a 20m restart.

Second penalty of the game for the Eels. Handy piggyback too.

Play resumes on half way as Folau surges into the defensive line. Clay sends Aloiai into the line, and he does it with gusto! Great run.

Dockar-Clay looks for a loooong ball down the right but it hits the grass. Lavaka scoops it up and he takes the hit up. Davis shows some initiative as he takes the ball down the left edge short side and somehow weaves between two defenders and gets the offload away to Folau who scores in the corner!

The ref points to the spot and we have a game!

The conversion is unsuccessful.

Parra trail NZ 10-19

46min gone.

Hah, Clay manages to catch the ball! Although it was far from comfortable...

And now another penalty for the Eels. Momentum swinging now?

Given that Tanginoa is leaving, I'd be shocked if any of these other Parra forwards would figure in any Parra NRL team capable of winning an NRL competition.

Actually is 12 still elgible for SG Ball? He might have some potential.

The rest are just rubbish, offload them now...

12 is Tyrrell Fuimoano, he will be good IMO. But I also think Ailoai, Alex Twal, and Tepu-Smith have promise. Kamikamika could be good too with some work. A lot of them are very young, Fuimoano and Twal played SG Ball this year.

Fuimaono with the first carry from the fresh start and we have another penalty!

Lussick takes the tap. The Eels move to the left edge and Matterson slices through!!!

Superb run but there is concern over whether he gets the ball down! The ref says no try as he goes up stairs but Matterson says he got it. Who to believe? The Eels will need conclusive proof...

The video ref says no try and we will come back for a play the ball. Grat run by Matto and shame he didn't come up with 18th try.

Messy stuff from the Eels from the restart as they waste several tackles but Zach-Dockar Clay has a lovely touch that nets the Eels a repeat set via an astute grubber.
