It was all the Eels early. Their forwards really laid a great platform and their backs took full advantage.

After ten minutes, the Eels had 3 tries and really looked like they'd run away with it. Unfortunately Davis didn't bring his kicking boots with him.

From there, it was all Brisbane and the Eels just couldn't get back into the game.

I had a hard enough time keeping up with the Brisbane players to really identify any stand-outs for Parra. Really their opening spell was on the back of good quick play the balls that earned penalties and gave the backs the time and space to run through their set plays.

Much good it does but I finally got around to reviewing/cutting the footage for highlights from the first week of finals in the District Reps and I am almost certain that we got robbed in the SG Ball (although the Sharks did play very well to their credit).

I will have the footage up tomorrow so you merkins can judge for yourselves but I am confident in saying that the Sharks lost the ball in a tackle on their goal line from a Dean Matterson kick which resulted in Matterson cleaning it up and diving over under the uprights in the final 10 minutes of the game.

Ah well.

Yep that's exactly what they do. Pete Nolan told me that. He said it was all sewn up there being a one team city even though the Titans were an he down the road. That's why he found it hard here to recruit juniors as he said "got to compete with 8 other Sydney clubs"
