Patient defence on the last from Parramatta there. St George spread right to the midfield before placing a cross-field kick. Moeakiola and Broadhurst wait for St George to claim the kick before shutting the ball down.

A solid set from Parramatta leads to an ordinary kick, which is made to look worse than it is due to some busy blocking from St George.

St George are the beneficiaries of a dubious played at call...

Eric Aukafolau is ruled to have played at a St George chip kick on the last and the ball ends up over the touch line. St George ball.

And on the back of that call, St George show some nice hands on our left-edge to cross in the corner.

Aukafolau was caught out on this occasion.

Hastings misses the conversion

St George spill the ball backwards off the kickoff and we will have to work it out from the backfoot for this set.

Brasington returns the ball to the 20m line to start the set. Moeakiola gives us great service early in the set once more and Daoud takes advantage of his quick play the ball to scoot up the middle for good metres.

Ualesi hold the ball up nicely to create some space on our right-edge and Parramatta complete their set with a competent bomb that is taken by St George 5min out from their line.

They undo that great set with a soft penalty against Chad McGill to put the Dragons back on to the front foot.

Broadhurst is doing alright today for the most part, on this occasion he put some nice pressure on the kicker.

Yet again St George go up for an attacking bomb and lose the ball on the last.

Parramatta kick early in their set to make St George work it out from deep in their half. The Dragons do well though as they make 60 odd metres to be in a position for an attacking kick. It comes to nought though as the kick drifts ingoals and is taken very easily.

Alvaro makes an impressive carry down the Dragon's right-edge and from the play-the-ball Daoud shows some footy smarts and attacks the short side. He breaks through and links up with the rookie Eric Aukafolau who crosses in the left corner to score on debut!

Brasington just narrowly misses the conversion for his first failed attempt today.

A solid set to follow up the try for Parramatta, Brasington completes the set by finding the grass in the Dragon's redzone.

St George use some enterprising second phase play to roll up the middle, Broadhurst is beaten by Runciman on the first attempt but manages to get back onto him but Runciman gets an offload away to the giant prop Kem Seru who steamrolls his way down our right-edge and plants the ball in the corner to score.

Hastings curls the ball sweetly to add the two points.

Parramatta need to close the game out.

The Dragons lift in defence early in the set but strong carries from McGill and Ualesi get the Eels back on track.

Brasington terrorises the winger, Anderson with a towering bomb and he looks for all money like he was going to drop it but nabs it at the last second.

Aukafolau and Moeakiola work hard early in the set to get Parramatta towards the 50m line.

Gorman drives a well-thought out kick down the St George left edge on the last but it just runs dead in goals.

St George push an unnecessary pass and turn possession over to Parramatta, who now have the chance to put the game away. They are unable to produce the four points but a collected Brasington gets the next best result and he pins Anderson ingoals with a well weighted grubber to earn a dropout.

Brain snap there from Sam Gorman, he attacks the line and goes into contact but for some reason shovels the ball out without any support. The Dragons clean it up but the referee rules that it went forward from Gorman and calls for a scrum.

Dockar-Clay makes a nippy run from dummy half but the Dragons scramble to pull him down. Parramatta work the ball to the left before the last tackle and then turn it back to the right on the last.

Daoud runs the ball in the midfield and catches the sliding defence napping as he links up with Dockar-Clay on the inside. Clay bursts through some shirt grabs and takes on the fullback to score next to the upright!

Brasington gets his range again and adds a simply conversion.

Parramatta lead 34-20, 74min gone

St George go for a medium kick off (too long to be called short kickoff) but it is easily taken by the Eels.

St George desperately keep the ball alive on the last, offloading multiple times before getting the ball out to Runciman on our right edge. He rolls a grubber through for Brennan but there are 3 desperate Parramatta cover defenders to clean up Kayne Brennan and effect the turnover.
