Another piece of luck for Parra!

Brassington sends the ball high up into the air. The Canberra fullback is under massive pressure just off his goal line and he can't hold onto it. There is a massive pile on and players from both teams try to get the ball and eventually it is ruled to be a Parra scrum.

And now some stupidity.

ZDC is on and loses the ball at the back of the scrum.

Canberra scrum. Oh my what a wasted chance.

Pauli Pauli makes big metres against a retreating defensive line to bring us into Raider's territory. Ualesi links up with Brassington who nearly finds his way to the try line as he beats a shooting defender.

Next play is the last and Daoud fires a grubber kick in which deflects off a defender and is cleaned up by an Eel for six again.

ZDC goes over but is held up and we come back for a play-the-ball.

Daoud chips it across the field on the last but it is taken simply by a Raider and they begin to make their way off their line.

Canberra shoot for another 40/20 and it goes agonisingly close but it called as a Parra scrum.

The Raiders are challenging the call.

Much like Parra, Canberra have wasted their challenge.

Parra scrum 20m out from their line.

And in a mind boggling display we throw a forward pass off the scrum.

Masssssssssive let off for Parra!

We were short on our right-edge and Canberra had the ball in open space but the pass is called forwards!

Canberra has ballsed up a certain four-pointer!

Half Time

Canberra 16 lead Parramatta 6

In a nutshell, I only see 1 genuine first grader in our side and that's Uelesi..

Pauli could be another if gets off his arse and increases his work rate.

The conditions are awful out Canberra way and the first half of footy has certainly played out in a similar fashion as both teams have struggled to hold onto the ball.

Canberra have proven to be the better team thus far though, with their consistent ability to rumble us around the ruck and find overlaps on either edge.

While dropped balls are to be expected with weather as it is, Parra have found ways to squander important phases of possession with awful mistakes like knocking on and passing it forwards from the back of the scrum.

It is hard to give out massive wraps to anyone but Pauli Pauli and Joesph Ualesi have at least given us something to work with at times in the first half.

Poo Poo, you wont listen old china - there are better players running around in park football (20 and under) then your current u20s squad. Your scouts and selectors have no idea.

I agree the left hand side is ZZZZZZZZZZZZ

Hmmm...the ref blows knock on against Pauli before raising his whistle to his mouth a second time to signal a penalty against Canberra.

Ualesi juggles the ball before contact but holds onto it somehow. Daoud runs the ball on the fourth and is held up over the line.

Brassington tries to run a grubber ingoals on the last but he aims it poorly as it hits a defender and the deflection is cleanup up immediately by the Raiders.
