Takai is good enough to play centre in nsw cup but only good enough to play wing in u20 - strange !!

Is it strange? It just shows that wing is no longer the position for blokes who aren't good enough to play centre.

In the modern game wingers make more runs than centres do. Even in under 20s.

Are you on deck to give us a bit of a commentary on the run?

Yep Stagger! Fortunately I don't have to brave the awful conditions in Canberra as Fox are broadcasting the game.

Kickoff is underway.

Parramatta are receiving the ball in the first half.

Pauli Pauli sends a defender away flying with his first run.

Brassington rolls the ball down our right edge on the last and Canberra will play it out from their 30m line.

A solid set from Parra given the conditions. It is completed with a kick from Daoud that is drilled into touch, 15m from the Raider's goal line.

Parra restrict Canberra to 40m that set but Makelim nearly loses knocks the ball on while cleaning up the kick.

Canberra in turn keep us to a sub-40m set before Brassington is charged down on the last and in the chaotic scramble to pick the ball up we are ruled to knock on.

Mitch Cornish puts in a cheeky banana chip kick but Pauli Pauli reaches up to pluck it out of the air. The Canberra chasers are right on him though and drive him in goals for a line drop out.

Canberra cross out on our left edge with a simple, if well executed second man play.

First try goes to the Canberra #2, Jonathan Reuben.

Some good fortune for Parramatta from the kickoff as the Canberra prop Tamaki (sp) loses the ball in a good tackle.

And now luck sails the other way as Will Bugden loses the ball in the tackle.

Wasted chance by the Eels.

Canberra scrum 10m out from their line.
