gee Pauli can look good sometimes but his work rate last night was ridiculously low, unless he was injured.

Got to take into account how little we had the ball though, and the fact that Canberra bypassed the centre of the ruck a lot of the time. It's his shithouse handling that bugs me the most.

A bit of super glue will fix it fast. Unfortunately he'll then be labelled by our fickle fans as a hog.

Make him take a fulltime Brickie labourer job in the off season - he will quickly release that he better start putting in or may have to actually work for an income.

It's old age Pete, isn't it. Guess you better use what's left before dementia sets in, then this forum better brace itself for one hell of a jolly nightmare.

How bad was the number 7 on the weekend was terrible most NYC teams look like they have there money invested in the key positions but not Parra.
We have a 6 foot 5 five eighth who only has a kicking game , the worlds smallest fullback and half who cant pass, kick or run.

Gorman and Brasington are both 20 and both off contract, so they will be replaced in next year's team. Makelim is only 19 (God help him) and is actually pretty good at NYC level, but probably won't make it to first grade.

Mark Daoud is currently in the squad, and turns 20 next year, so I expect he will be the NYC halfback in 2014. Obviously he's no world beater and unlikely to play much first grade, if any.

We seem to have plenty of dummy half talent coming through in Pritchard and Dockar-Clay, plus Lussick, who will join the NYC squad next year.

However we do struggle to beat the stronger clubs to signing up the most talented halves.

Good point. I reckon the NYC spine will look like this next year:

1. Makelim
6. French
7. Daoud
9. Dockar-Clay

Pretty good spine for that level; certainly strong enough to win an under 20s comp, but I'd say ZDC is the only one who will ever play first grade. Keen to see how French goes, and how many years of NYC eligibility he has. Media says he's 17 but he could be turning 18 this year.
