Sloppy play the ball by Terepo...dissapointing from the unit as he has been one of our best.

Good scramble by Parra leads up to a Warrior's fumble.

Parra Scrum 10m out from our line.

Webhe holds onto the ball and walks into a shepherd

FRUSTRATING!

2min to go and we now need something special

30secs to play.

All or nothing.

Trent Jennings is off the field.

Chaos at the end as our chip is fumbled backwards about 3 times. Loko couldn't get the bounce he needed and we go down.

Full Time

NZ 20 defeat Parra 16

61 tackles to Rory Brien, truly a herculean (hindmarshian?) effort.

A great second half from our boys really pushed the defending premiers to the edge. We came oh so close but a lack of finishing really held us back at key points in the game.

Some of the big units in our pack really impressed, particularly PJ Asiata and Peni Terepo while early on Kyle Fraser had some promising touches.

Brien lead all the way, backing up his cricket score of tackles with some fine runs and a huge cover tackle.

Webhe and Bruest had some fantastic kicks over the 80min but still need to play more direct with the ball in hands.

A great effort overall and while it is dissapointing to fall short, the Warriors ARE the bench mark of the competition and our boys can truly hold their heads up high for having taken them the distance.

It appears to me that Wehbe has alot of swagger but not the ability to back it, ordinary footballer so far, just my opinion..

How did Breust look?

From what I understand this kid could be something special in the halfback spot one day? Did he look like that - or just a talented kid with nothing between the ears?

As Y2Eel said, a great kicking game overall but he was below par in general play.

Needed to take on the line more, especially with with likes of Terepo, Brien, O'Hanlon and Eisenghuth providing excellent short/under options.

There was plenty of promise there though, and with a bit more work and a smidgen of confidence he could definitely lead our team through the comp.

Impressed by our forwards, Bruest's kicking game was very good. Needed to take control more. Wehbe doesn't look a 6 to me. Isn't he a fullback???

Loko needs to go looking for more ball.
