Pirtek Parramatta Eels NYC coach Steve Speechley has recalled centre John Folau into this week's Toyota Cup lineup and retained promising youngster Ryan Matterson at five eighth.
Folau had been busy competing for the Combined Catholic Colleges team in the Australian Schoolboys representative weekend along with NYC teammates Chad McGill, Kelepi Tanginoa and Pauli Pauli.
Matterson, meanwhile, will take the five eighth spot again this week following Jason Wehbe's elevation to Wentworthville. Also making his return his hooker and captain Luke Vescio.

So confident, we're only taking 16 players into the game. No wonder we're at the bottom end of the table.

“I’m pleased with the effort today and the lads who haven’t played today will get a chance against Parramatta on Saturday to fight for a test jersey.”
The England Academy continue preparations for their two-test series against the Australian Schoolboys by taking on Parramatta Juniors on Saturday evening.

Ryan Hampshire scored 26 points as England Academy cruised to a comprehensive 42-18 victory over Parramatta Juniors at Cabramatta Stadium.
Hampshire scored a hat-trick of tries - with further scores from James Duckworth, Ben Currie, John Ford and Joe Burgess - and added all seven conversions.
Ben Fritz scored a first-half try for Parramatta, who were only 12-6 down at half-time but England came out firing after the interval to open up a 36-6 lead and although Christian Kagiassis and John Formal touched down afterwards, it proved to be scant consolation.
