Parramatta Eels Juniors

The under 20s, at near full strength, were smashed 52-10 by a pretty ordinary Titans team. Obviously they weren't ordinary on the day.

We scored first, but a couple of Titans tries against the run of play (according to the Eels Twitter feed) seem to have broken us. Typical under 20s mental weakness, no doubt compounded by last week's late loss to the competition leaders.

dropping to 6th after the tigers beat st george later. i thought it was funny a few years ago that penrith and parra, powerhouses at the junior level, couldn't compete in a 20's comp. panthers have worked it out.

So have we. But we don't aim to win junior comps, just develop first graders. That's why our best two under 20s players are in higher grades.

Meanwhile Jackson Hastings had played NYC two weeks in a row.

if you developed first graders so well, you wouldn't have paid overs for all the bum recruits that cannot win anything but still put you over the cap.

Yeah penrith pick players that are big and fast and when you watch their style of play it is very much based off winning the 20's.

We didn't pay overs, we paid them large sums outside the cap, just like your club. Unfortunately when the NRL came sniffing we didn't have Andrew Gee quit his job and go into hiding to avoid being questioned.

Our squad that has won 10 games (same as the Broncos) despite a huge injury toll contains the following players from our NYC teams:

Radradra, French, Toutai, Moeroa, Mannah, Alvaro, Pritchard, Terepo. We also have Folau, Tanginoa and Ualesi as backups. And we also gave Junior Paulo the arse.

Tui Afualo. Josh Curran. Sean Keppie. Michael Tupou are ours.

Tui has played a couple of NYC games this year. Centre/half.
Curran still has another year of SG ball left. Very hard working forward. Middle/edge.
Sean Keppie. Has really been a surprise this year. Has put on a lot of weight as he was a bean pole last year. Very tall and I'd say he's the tallest at the club standing at around 2m. Prop
Michael Tupou. Another revelation this year. Makes a huge impact off the bench. The best of this was when I saw him make a kick-off return and make it to the 40m line before being stopped. Absolutely ruthless runner of the ball. Prop.

Forty, noticed that we have named Jye Challenor in the 17 for NYC. We chased him hard during the off season, but he decided to stay where he was, he is a big unit that BA wanted

Will get some details as he would have had to quit the Dogs to move over and come back, maybe tomorrow

Very interesting that BA wanted him. He was a Westfields Sports HS student so he had a fair few Parra players already around him. He was named in last year's Aus Schoolboys team. Plus he's huge. I'd say around 190+ 110kgs.

I hear we have released Travis Turnbull - he is going back to Qld, was suffering some home sickness or something.
