wtf is this ? Manly have shit juniors

Too much dropped ball from both teams, the Matts more so than the Ball. Matts should have won but a crucial lost ball early in the tackle count allowed manly up-field and the class of young Fainu shone through late in the game. When Parra was holding the ball they were making great metres in behind the ruck through good runs from Yehya Ayache off quick play the balls from Sam Tuivaiti and Myles Martin.

In the ball manly were very lucky to not have a player sent off for a swinging arm that clobbered Josh Chappell across his face. Another thing to keep in mind is that Parra have: Sean Russell, Sam Loizou, Jakob Arthur, Matthew Komolafe, Josh Tuipulotu, and Caleb Tohi all training with the first grade squad whereas manly had their better players in this grade: Gordon Chan Kum Tong and Krystian Mapapalangi. Not an excuse as no matter who is picked in the Parramatta Eels' junior rep teams they should be striving for success but if the club was worried about winning the SG Ball those 6 would have played yesterday instead of watching from the sidelines

Manly use Westfield Sports as their feeder, the sports master/footy coach is part of the Manly junior set up. Their forwards are a combination of Westfields team that made the schoolboy final and players from Guildford . Saw them in a trial, they are big and aggressive, the vast majority do not play anywhere near their junior league.

that is interesting. Manly must be making a point of recruiting Western Sydney kids. Smart I guess.
What is making these kids chose to go? Is it money?
Who would aspire to play at Brookvale ?

If the kids go to a feeder club/school, I doubt they have any say

@ALX25 it was up the other end from where I was sitting and I've only had the initial look at the tackle but it was very reckless. Should be sitting down for a few weeks.

Good signing, but hardly evidence of our development success (given that he was handing out awards to 17 year olds). We signed him when he was 20 or so.

True. It seems odd to me the Pa there rarely seem to lose anyone they want. Perhaps Burton is the first in a while. Half our good ones seem gone before they hit 19.
