One to keep an eye on is a boy called Joseph Taipari. He's 17 years old and plays in the halves for your SG Ball side that won the comp this season. My brother played footy with him all through school up until the last couple of years when he's been playing Div 1 Mens. He reminds me of Shaun Johnson at the same age and will likely carve up the NYC in years to come. The difference I see with these two is that while Joseph has the footwork like Johnson he's definitely more of game manager, the kid is a gun and now that he was able to avoid the toxic Warriors club i'm sure he'll develop into a fine footballer within your system. Give him a few years and he'll be pressing FG.

I was waiting for the first Shaun Johnson comparison! I had a few chats with Joe Taipari in the preseason before I knew who he was and he came across as a really nice kid. Excited to see what he can do once he gets a run in the NYC some time this year.

While not getting to see a lot of the NYC team, I thought that Kam Cryer offered a workmanlike contribution to the team and seemed a better than ordinary goal kicker. I am not suggesting he is a better player than Dargan but it seems ironic that a Luke Burt coached team should struggle in the goal kicking department and wondered if Cryer (assuming he is not injured ), might not be worth a position, at least on the bench ?

I know who you meant .... still wtf?

Ray Price = bloke who liked a bit of biff
Mick Stone = bloke who liked sending players off for violent conduct.

What if Ray Stone was their lovechild? How conflicted would he be? You need to think harder about our players mental health Strider.

Ray Stone got sin binned for punching in the Junior Origin match. Mad merkin.

Didn't look like much in it. Media now making it out to be something. Yawn

He was a madman, brought plenty of impact from the bench. Dargan's kicking game was pinpoint accurate in the second half.
