I believe the Broncs, Dogs and Roosters pay them a million dollars a game, and that the NRL pay the clubs a special bonus as part of a disadvantaged youth scheme.

What i do not get. Why would dragons pay Vaughn 650k if other clubs only offered 375k. I reckon 400k would of been his value and 450k if desperate. So did Vaughn say no i want 275k more then 2nd best offer or I go eels?
I smell bullshit. Id say our offer sounds right and dragons got him a lot cheaper then the daily telegraph reported.
Heck they saying Kasiano 700k to storm. Do people beleive that . He is 400k max.

Won't be playing until next season was the last I heard. Which is good because it'll allow him to focus on gym work to put on weight.

We did make an offer to Vaughan, but the then desperate Dragqueens took a massive gamble and paid him $650k which we weren't prepared to match. It has paid off, but at the time he wasn't a forward to be paid that much, he was on $450k + at the Raiders who wanted him off their books

The coach has values on players and positions, he is running a business and while we may miss the odd player, the roster is taking shape without overpaying. You can always get in touch with the club and let them know how much players are worth at contract time, but think we should be leaving that to the coach.

I'm going to jump in and defend @Delboy here. He has been away on holiday for the last couple of weeks and completely missed the peak of the 'Why didn't we sign Vaughan?' meme.

@Happy MEel and @I'm a loser baby have been jokingly prodding the narrative that Parramatta made a massive blunder in not offering Paul Vaughan a deal last year. Everyone is well aware that we made him a reasonable offer but simultaneously they are 'outraged' they we didn't offer him anything.
