Cowboys are currently smashing us 36-0 in NYC ...

We're basically playing our under 18s side whilst they're at full strength with ponga in the team...
and only one of the clubs are realistically a finals standard team. i still cannot believe in the history of this comp you have had minimal impact on it. such a laugh when parra and penrith were said to be the most likely to dominate junior comps when the comp started. it took the panthers a few years to get it but you guys never did.

That's correct. The team we put on the park today is not finals standard. We had 10 regular players out whether through injury or promotion. When both teams were at full strength we beat the cowboys by 50+.

We put our best under 20s in the state cup as soon as they're ready. The Warriors have started doing it too which is why their NYC side is running last.

This is why they're ditching the NYC comp. Because nobody gives a f**k except you.

Anyway we won SG Ball (and the national championship) despite our best 18 year olds playing NYC, so the main thing is player development.

Nah didn't Chipmunk tell you? Our juniors are shit. Must be a fake team.....

If you add Dargan and Stone from the U20 Origin team, we have some strong kids coming through. One thing is certain that getting a blues jumper these days indicates you have a very strong chance for a solid NRL career.

Shud add that the 2 halves that played Ball outplayed the 2 selected for the U18s, but they are both Kiwis. Certainly some talent coming through over the next few years, Picking the eyes out of them will be the key. Josh Curran is also our junior who took a massive offer from the Rorters to join them this year.

Our junior identification and recruitment has been on the up for the last 3 years, they need to
be nurtured and turned into NRL quality to show the success of the senior coaching staff, that's the real challenge.

He's out for the rest of the season from what I heard.

It's unfortunate as he's been the man of the match in the last 2 Origins he's been a part of. He would have destroyed qld now that he's an NYC mainstay.
Thats a shame, hopefully he will be back bigger and better next season. I can see him being Jennings long term replacement.

He reminds me of a young Matai.
